Quesenberry Cemetery Hinton WV
Quesenberry Cem. in Jumping Branch which is near Hinton, WV

This is where the (Captain) George Quesenberry of Indian Valley moved to after the death of his 1st wife Sarah Cassell--people think he is buried in the cemetery named for him in Indian Valley but he is not!! He married Polly (Mary) Bostic Duncan-daughter of Greenberry Duncan & Nancy Phillips after Sarah Cassell died during childbirth and they sold the land in Floyd Co. I don't know how many of George and Sarah's children went to WV-the youngest Bennett is the only 1 that I am certain of as he lived there all his life. I don't know why they moved to WV but my theory is George was there when he fought in the Civil War-there was a big battle there. The Little Bluestone Primative Baptist Church also has ties to Floyd Co.-it had some of the same preachers as the Floyd Co. Prim. Baptist churches. You can seen the Quesenberry Cem. from the church.
