WELCOME TO
CITY OF FREDERICKSBURG, VIRGINIA
Fredericksburg was incorporated by law in 1727.  The city & streets were named after the family of King George II.  The city has been enriched by the many different people who chose to live here.  Some of those were the Native Americans, Europeans (British, Scottish, Irish, German, & French), & African American.  In addition, Fredericksburg citizens took part in the American Revolution, War of 1812, Civil War, and many others.  Fredericksburg is a welcoming and friendly place.
