Will Alice Calwell 1875
The last will and Testament of Alice Calwell of Botetourt County and state of Virginia. I Alice considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and forme following, that is to say:
First I desire all my just debts to be paid and my funeral expenses and tombstone put to my grave.
2nd I give and bequeath to Sintha Kales and Mary J. Deisher
my plantation that I now live on, on the following terms the said Sinitha Cales and Mary
J. Deisher is to take care of the said Alice during her life time and the
said
Sintha Cales and Mary J. Deisher to take care of a bed
for Edmony Colwell till she becomes of age or marrys and then
pay Thirty dollars and bead to said Edmony.
I Alice Calwell do will and bequeath all my real and personal property to Synthia Kales and Mary J. Deisher during their life time to hold jointly and after their death to go to the Children of Mary J. Deisher and not to be subject to no claims or debts except those mentioned above.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 28th day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy four.

This instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Alice Caldwell dec’d was this day produced in Court and fully proved according to law by the oaths of E. C. Crush & J. B. Cahoon subscribing witnesses thereto and thereupon said instrument of writing is ordered to be recorded as the true last will and Testament of the said Alice Caldwell dec’d
