Va., by Rev. Joel Crumpacker, June 2nd, 1831, REV. JOSEPH STOVER, born
in Botetourt Co., Va., Sept. 7th, 1811, died in Labette Co., Kan., Jan.
6th, 1892 (son of GEORGE JR. and ANNA (Rader) STOVER). (see Samuel
Pefley Jr. No.*1257 <cid:[email protected]>). See
also the Price Book, by Wanger: also the Thomas Robinson Letters under
John Peffley No.*551 <cid:[email protected]>). In
early life Joseph was a minister in the Christian Church. Later both
became members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Joseph's
grandfather, George Stover, served in the Revolution.

Surname: STOVER

STOVER.-Died Jan. 6, 1892, at Stover, Kans., Joseph Stover, aged 80
years, 3 months, and 30 days. He was born in Botetourt county, Va. He
made a public profession of religion at the age of twenty-one. The
question with him always was, What do the Scriptures teach? He embraced
present truth in 1873, and has been a member of the Oswego church ever
since it has been organized. He was patient in his sufferings. Before
dying, he talked with each present, said he was ready to die, bade each
one farewell, and peacefully expired. Funeral discourse by Elder Cross
of the Church of god, from 2 Tim. 4: 7, 8.

Surname: STOVER, DEBOLT, WILSON

STOVER.-Elizabeth Jane Debolt was born at Westchester, Ohio, Nov. 10,
1829. Her earlier years were spent in Ohio and Indiana. Later she went
to Missouri where she was united in marriage with B. F. Wilson, a
presiding elder in the Methodist Church. Being left a widow, with one
daughter, she moved to Kansas, settling near Oswego. In 1872 she was
married to Joseph Stover, and the autumn following they both united with
the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Her husband died in 1892, and some ten
years later she, with her daughter, moved to Clarke County, Wash., where
on July 21, 1913, she fell asleep in the hope of a soon-coming Saviour
(sic).

wife was Elizabeth Pefley (1808-1872).
