HUFFMAN, Violet Annie, 91, of Troutville, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2001. She was a longtime member of the Troutville Church of the Brethren and was in the Quilting Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Robert Huffman, and a son, Charles I. Huffman. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine Padgett and Ruth Spangler of Buchanan, Eleanor and Pete Woolwine of Greenfield, Ind., Joanne and Ike Falls of Troutville, and Rozelle and Kenneth Dillon of Roanoke; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Brenda Huffman, and Freddie and Carolyn Huffman, all of Wirtz, Billy and Betty Huffman of Buchanan, Jimmy Huffman of Troutville; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the Troutville Church of the Brethren 11 a.m. Thursday, February 8, 2001 with the Rev. J. Weldon Myers and Rev. Roy Heinlen officiating. Interment will be in the Troutville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Troutville Rescue Squad. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's East Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
