GORE, Stella Guffey, 86, of
Roanoke, died Thursday, December 9, 1993. She was a member of the Troutville
Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, B. F. Gore Sr.;
one son, Donald Gore; and one brother, Ira Guffey. She is
survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Edith and John Harrell of Daytona
Beach, Fla; two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Betty Gore of Wicomico,
Va, Bill and Shelby Gore of Buchanan; one sister Thelma Lark of Belmont N.C.;
one brother, Basil Guffey of Clemmons, N.C.; three foster children, Loretta
Broughman of Buchanan, Leonard Guffey and Ralph Guffey, both of Roanoke; 16
grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday,
December 12, 1993, 2 p.m. at the Rader Troutville Chapel, with Dr. E. Ray
Frazier and the Rev. Harold E. Cook, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in
the Troutville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7
to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
