Garland R. Clark, 55, of Troutville, passed away Monday,
April 11, 2005. Garland was a wonderful gentleman that carried many hats, he
graduated from Lord Botetourt High School, Locksmith School and Small engine
repair school. He spent hours working on small engines, such as chain saws and
lawn mowers, those knowing Garland will remember how he loved riding his John
Deere lawn mower. He was employed at Travel America Truck Stop for 36 1/2;
years and received the Lord when he was just a young man of 13 years old.
Garland is survived by his wife of 26 years, Linda Clark; daughter, Cierra
Clark; stepson, William Mayo, Jr.; parents, Wendell and Emma Clark; sister,
Eleanor Clark and her husband, Jack; brothers, Milton and Calvin Clark;
grandchildren, Shavaun'te Mayo, Xaiver Mayo, Katina Mayo, and Isaiah Barber;
niece, Angie Stokes and her husband, Wendell. Friends are welcome to attend
Garlands wake, Thursday, April 14, 2005 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home,
630 Roanoke Road, Daleville, where a service celebrating his life will be held
Friday at 3 p.m. in Rader's Chapel with the Rev. Olin Glidden and Pastor David
Lucas officiating. Interment at First Baptist Church Cemetery, Amsterdam.
