I am trying to find my mother's half sister. They both have the same father who was John Francis who was born in Jersey, Channel Islands england. My mother was actually born in Wales. I checked in the Social Security Death Index and I found a possible match. She was Annie Francis born July l5, l892 and passed away in Oct.l974 The Residence is stated as 240l2 Blue Ridge, Botetourt, Va. SIN No. 225-720050. In my case Annie Francis is her maiden name. Since I do not know if she ever married . This is the only name I can check. I am sorry to have bothered you I only have the name Francis to go by so therefore it is the only name I can check. There are a possible 8 or 9 in the Death Index File. Thanks again for all your help and have a Very Merry Christmas and all the best in 2000.

I am the gr. granddaughter of William & Elizabeth Slack Pullen. They lived in Rockbridge Co. VA and their son William Clayton Pullen married Martha Ellen Hill in Botetourt Co., VA on Feb 3, 1848 by minister Jacob Carper. They lived many years in Rockbridge Co. before moving to Lincoln Co., WV sometime after 1855. When William died in 1854 his son John gave the information concerning the death and stated that the parents were unknown. I have much information on the descendants of William Clayton son of William Pullen but nothing beyond William Pullen b.abt 1789, d. 1854. Any help is appreciated.

I am doing some research on the Wilchers of Botetourt. My wife's father was Talmage Wilcher, and his father was John S. Wilcher who married Bessie Hughes. Father of John S. was James T. who enlisted in the Confed Army in 1861, at age 20, and was captured at Gettysburg.
