CLARKE, SHIRKEY, THOMPSON -
This is a plea for information regarding a military school my grandfather, Robert CLARKE, of Victoria Texas, attended. Little is known, by living relatives, but I believe the name of the school was Bellview and it was located in Bedford Co., Virginia. I suspect he attended prep school in the late 1880s. His mother, Pauline Virginia SHIRKEY CLARKE, was born and raised in Botetourt, Co., but migrated with her mother and father, Mary Arms THOMPSON, John Shirkey, to SW Texas in the early 1850s. Any information on this school will be greatly appreciated. R. Paul Adams, Baton Rouge, LA.
