CARVIN, MILLER -
Is there any that has information on Roanoke Co. I have a letter written 5 Mar 1867 from Big Lick Post Office, Roanoke Co.VA and believe that some of my relatives may be buried in Roanoke Co. or Botetourt Co. I will be in Virginia in late September or early October and wish to lookup a part of my family. George Frederick MILLER's father was Frederick MILLER. He was a German who immigrated to US sometime late 1700s. I do not know if he was married at that time of later. I have reason to believe he was married to a CARVIN (Elizabeth?). Lucy Carvin is a name that I have found in The US Census, in Botetourt Co. 1800s (Lucinda in 1840) 1860 she is listed as being 73. All the CARVINs appear to be related. The Miller Family is large or there were a lot of different Millers in Botetourt Co. From the Marriage Index- Ann, Benjamin, and it goes on for 21 names. I would like to go to the cemeteries and photograph the tombstones. What ever help you can give will be deeply appreciated. As Roanoke Co. was a part of Botetourt Co., many of the same families may be buried in Roanoke Co. Thank You.
