Mary Susan CROWDER they had 13 children one of whom was my
grandmother Lillian Elvira CRAFT who married Lake Hammond
TRENOR, they had 4 daughters, Emma, Gertrude, Bessie, [my
mother] and Lula Maude. James Lewis Craft once owned the Western

I have a 14 page outline of the VINEYARD family which
is rather sketchy at the beginning. This is what I have. Any help
in filling in the holes is appreciated. Johnathan VINEYARD
-- Married Barbara ? Born Germany and came to Orange County, VA
1735. He died 1759. Christian VINEYARD -- a Son? --
Married Christinah TABLER. They had 10 children and they
were all born in Botetourt County, VA. Thanks again for your

MARKHAM,
WILKERSON -
I am a descendant of Thomas MARKHAM and Nelly
WILKERSON of Bedford Co. through their son Thomas MARKHAM,
Jr. b. Feb 1791. Thomas MARKHAM, Jr was a resident of
Botetourt Co., VA from 1838 until 1857. His brother, Owen also
resided in Botetourt Co. along with Thomas Sr's brother, John, and
several cousins. I am looking for any MARKHAM descendants
from Botetourt and Bedford Co.'s that may help put these families
into their proper groupings. I will share any information that I
have in exchange for yours.

m. Sarah, when and where? her last name? He married Patience
BUTTERFIELD, 20 Jan 1823, Botetourt CO, VA. His dau. Mary
(Polly) married Jacob CLARE 28 Dec 1815. Any help would be

KIRKPATRICK, WILKINS -
I'm researching the ancestors and siblings of John
KIRKPATRICK who is reported to have resided in Botetourt
Co., Va. He was born may of 1741 probably in Scotland. He married
Jane WILKINS of Lancaster Co., PA, moved on to VA, NC where
he served in the Rev. War, then on to Hawkins Co., in E. TN where
he died. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Searching for marriage record or other on: Reuben Selden
WARE, born 1802 in Botetourt Co., VA. He married Elizabeth
Pendleton GILLIAM in 1823, prob. in Fincastle. Their chn
were Mary Ann, (mrd Isaac W GLINES) , b. l7 Jul. 1825; John
Gilliam b. 27 Jan. 1828; Theodore b. 5 Aug. 1830; Elizabeth Jane
(mrd Jonathan J MARVIN) b. 9 Jun. 1832; Edward (died in Civ
War) b. 15 Sep. 1834; James b. 3 Jul. 1838; Virginia (mrd William
H HOLBROOK) b. 19. Apr. 1840; & William WARE b.
22 Oct. 1845, & d. 21Jul. 1860 in Salem NB. They moved to Wis.
ca 1827. Mary Ann & John were bn in VA. It is told that
GILLIAM family was related to Pocahontas, known as Mrs John
ROLFE. Anyone having info on this family would be greatly
apprec. Reuben Selden WARE was in Blackhawk War 1832. Abt
1859 fam moved to NB. Other GILLIAM relatives moved to the
midwest area. There is a Gilliam STREET in Dubuque, IA,
also an early leadmining region.
