BURGER, REDMAN,
REDMOND -
I am seeking information on William REDMAN/REDMOND, born in
Botetourt County in the late 1800s. He married (Rose?)
Burger from Botetourt County and they lived in Villa
Heights, in Roanoke Virginia. William died in 1925 but his wife
continued to live there for many years after his death. He is
buried in the Trinity Church Cemetery in Botetourt County. Thanks

MOORE -
I am researching the Stephen MOORE family who lived in
Botetourt County in the late 1700s and the early 1800s. Stephen
Moore, my 4 great grandfather, died in 1811 and his family
moved to Madison County, Ohio. Stephen Moore owned 170 acres in
Botetourt County. I am interested in anything concerning this

3-6-1838, Montgomery Co. IN. He wed Susannah DAVIS, born
abt. 1785 in VA. (co unknown). I am trying to locate the parents

Seeking information regarding my 4th Great Grandfather William
BLANTON that served in French & Indian War (&
possibly the Revolution). In late 1700s he was married to a
Christina GUINN (or GWYNN) while living in Greenbrier
County. There is a passing reference to a William BLANTON
having married a Hannah (surname unknown) in Augusta County between
1750-1780. There are references to Botetourt County in relation to
my William. Any information regarding William would be greatly
appreciated. Fellow researchers tell me they have four Williams
that they have been trying to unsnarl for sometime.

County and his will was recorded October 1784. He named Joseph
Watkins as one of his execs, the other two were his wife
Elenor and James Wilson. Witnesses: John Bennett & John
Willison. I have been unable to indenty Joseph
Watkins. Would like to correspond with any of the desendants

Searching for information on John Merritt, born cir 1784,
Bedford Co, Va. Married Sarah (?). Sarah born in Bedford Co, cir
1780. John died in Botetourt Co Sept 26, 1854. While their
children have been stated as: William, Mary, Nancy, Daniel, George,
John B., Richard and Thomas, I cannot confirm this with any
certainty. Have been able to confirm one of their children, John
Braxton Merritt. He was born in Bedford Co. Nov 26, 1818. He
moved to Botetourt County, Va and married Christiana Jane
Barger. Would like to correspond with others researching the
Merritt name in Bedford, Botetourt and Alleghany
Counties.
