Bennie H. Beemer, 92, of Salem, formerly of Troutville, went to be with the Lord on Easter day, Sunday, March 27, 2005. Bennie was a United States Navy veteran, serving during WWII. He was a faithful, longtime member of Troutville Baptist Church, in which he served as a Deacon and as a Sunday School teacher. Bennie more recently has been a faithful member of North Roanoke Baptist Church. He has been predeceased by his parents, Etta and Emmett Beemer, his first wife Martha Beemer (1921 1989) and 18 siblings. He is survived by his wife of ten years, Frances Carroll Beemer; daughters, Judy Walden and Gail Hannah; grandchildren, Kevin Guffey and his wife Rachelle, Kristin Guffey, Julie Rogers and her husband Bret, and Rich Walden; great-granddaughter, Ainslee Rogers; sister, Louise B. Wray; stepchildren, Larry Carroll and his wife Elizabeth, John Carroll and his wife Virginia and Patricia Knighton and her husband Reggie; stepgrandchildren, Jenny Royer and her husband Dana, Jonathan Carroll, Lindsey Lucas, Matthew Carroll, Whitney Patrone and Tyler Carroll; stepgreat-grandsons, Matthew Lucas and Cole Royer; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends are welcome to call Tuesday, March 29, 2005 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville. A service celebrating Bennie's life will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Troutville Baptist Church, Main Street, Troutville, with Pastor Aubrey Sheats and Pastor Jake Roudebush officiating. Interment in Troutville Cemetery. Arrangements by Rader Funeral Home, "Serving Every Family as if Our Very Own".
