COOPER, POWELL - Researching PINN, COOPER, HARRIS, EVANS, HARTLESS, POWELL, BEVERLY and REDCROSS families of early Amherst County. Philip Cooper died and left a William and John Powell as Guardians over his daughters estate. The youngest daughter was Jane Cooper who married Benjamin Powell about 1783. He was her first husband and her second husband was James Pinn, they are my ancestors. The Pinn's intermarried with Evans, Redcrosses and Hartless as well as the Coopers. They were some of the families mentioned in the book "Indian Island", by Dr. Houck. The information I am seeking is on Jane Coopers family who were documented about 1774 on. Philip left a will and if anyone can go to Amherst County courthouse and look this up for me, or better yet send me a copy I would appreciate it. I would also like a copy of the guardian bond for Jane Cooper and her sisters (1783)and if possible a copy of her marriage license with Benjamin Powell. I would like to know if there were any children from the marriage. Also, if there is any other genealogical information that pertains to my family members. Thanks to all. Anita

CAMDEN - I have been searching for Jacob CAMDEN. He was born in Virginia about 1826. He moved to Lincoln Co., Ky. by 1853 and married Minerva MINTON. He does not appear in any of the Kentucky Census records in 1850. In the Lincoln Co. census he shows up as a 34 yr. old miller with wife Minerva. In their household they have a "g. 13"...this child would have been born in 1847 and this marraige was 1853...is this child from a previous marriage or is it a younger sibling that he brought with him?? By 1869 Minerva is remarried to Albert Lanham, so Jacob must have died. I have searched cemetery books but I can't find him there either. Any information would be appreciated!
