The CART program is for the express purpose of census data collection
for the USGenWeb Census Project. It is not, however,
for volunteers working for the USGenWeb Archives Census Project,
as that project is redundant and it's existence
has resulted in hundreds of hours (possibly thousands) of lost time by volunteers.
If you are going to transcribe a county for the project, please sign up so that work
will not be duplicated. See the

If you are a volunteer working for the USGenWeb Archives Census
Project (ACP), please note that you do not have a license to use CART, and should
export your census data to dbf or text and work on it with an alternate product such
as notepad or CensTrans. Ask your ACP representative for details on what product should be
used, or join the USGenWeb Census Project (CP) project by
contacting them at the USGenWeb Census Project Page above.
