1808 Aged 76
Thomas LOVEBAND, the son of Matthew LOVEBAND (1701-1762) and Sarah PETHEBRIDGE (1704-1788) was baptised on 2 Aug 1732 at Yarnscombe and was buried on 15 Oct 1808. Thomas married Mary COOKE (1744-1820) the daughter of Michael COOKE (1707-1777) and Margaret (? - 1791) on 5 Oct 1767 at St Giles in the Woods. The will of Thomas LOVEBAND was proved at the Court of Barnstaple on 26 Oct 1808.

Anthony LOVEBAND, the son of Richard LOVEBAND (1663-1739) and Thomsine MATCOTT (1673-1725), was baptised at Yarnscombe, Devon on 13 Oct 1706, and was buried on 26 Mar 1788.

Anthony LOVEBAND, the son of Matthew LOVEBAND (1701-1762) and Sarah PETHEBRIDGE (1704-1788), was baptised on 9 Apr 1740 in Yarnscombe and was buried on 5 Jan 1827. He married Sarah PETHEBRIDGE on 11 Dec 1776. Sarah was buried on 14 Sep 1790.

John LOVEBAND, the son of Matthew LOVEBAND (1701-1762) and Sarah PETHEBRIDGE (1704-1788) was baptised on 5 Dec 1744 at Yarncombe and was buried on 13 May 1818. His will was proved at the Prerogative Court of Canterbury on 8 Sep 1818.

Aged 88
Ann COOKE, the daughter of George COOKE (1742-1821) and Betty WALKEY (1755-1821), was born on 26 Oct 1782 in St Giles in the Wood, Devon and was baptised there on 16 Dec 1782. She married Anthony LOVEBAND at High Bickington, Devon on 7 Feb 1815. Ann was buried on 27 Dec 1827.

Anthony LOVEBAND, the son of Anthony LOVEBAND (1740-1826) and Sarah PETHEBRIDGE (1747-1790), was baptised on 21 Oct 1781 at Yarnscombe, Devon. He died in Landkey, Devon and was buried at Yarnscombe on 24 Mar 1870.

Anthony William LOVEBAND, the son of John Edgcombe LOVEBAND (1853-1944) and Katharine Clara WRIGHT (1856-1932), was the great-grandson of Anthony Loveband (1781-1870) and Ann Cooke (1782-1827).

John CHAMPNEYS was the son of William CHAMPNEYS (abt 1554 - ?) and Honour NORTHCOTT. His will was proved at the Prerogative Court of Canterbury on 24 Mar 1681/82.

Cicilly FORTESCUE, daughter of Hugh FORTESCUE (1541-1600) and Elizabeth CHICHESTER (1545-1630), was born in Weare Giffard, Devon. She married Anthony TREVELYAN (1570-1623), son of Hugh TREVELYAN and Elizabeth POLLARD.

Giles POYNES was buried at Yarnscombe on 24 May 1715.

John FISHER, son of John FISHER (1740-1798) and Mary ISAAC (1740-1814), was baptised at Yarnscombe on 2 Jan 1775, and was buried there on 14 Aug 1839. He married Elizabeth JOCE, daughter of William JOCE and Jane PARKIN, at Chittlehampton, Devon on 30 Aug 1802. Elizabeth was baptised at Chittlehampton on 12 Jan 1778, and was buried at Yarnscombe on 17 Sep 1859.

Adminstration of the estate of Johan POLLARD of Tawstock was assigned in 1674. The will of Eusebius POLLARD of Tawstock, Devon was proved in 1684.

This partial ledger stone commemorates Sarah POLLARD who died in London on 24 October 1677 and was buried at Yarnscombe on 17 Nov 1677. Sarah was the wife of John POLLARD (1608-1667), the son of Richard POLLARD (? -1659) and Joan PHILIP. A mural monument on the north wall of the chancel commemorates John and Sarah.
