I am Emma Odom, my husband grew up in Wink, TX. We are trying to trace a picture that hung in the office of one of the Oil Companies. We believe it was Standard, or maybe Humble. The picture was of a cart pulled by a donkey, loaded with boys. The cart and the donkey belonged to the ODOM boys, there was 4 of them. My husband was the youngest of them. The year could have been between 1934 to 37.
It was not unusual to see these boys and their friend all around Wink and the countryside. The men at a the oil Company took the picture and enlarged it and it hung in the office. We wonder where it went from there.
My husband is the only one of the ODOM
boys left. If we could find a newspaper article about these boys we would be
very pleased. Or if the picture itself is still around we would be willing to
buy it. Any help you can give us will be appreciated.
