The Post Office was in the lobby of the old burned out hotel
north of the RR tracks.
The partial building on the right was an abandoned gas station and garage.
The Town Constable was Tom Bowen, his chase car was a Ford V8 coupe'

From left to right - Aztec Cafe (Joe White Field), Pyote Drug Store
(Fred McCue), Bus Depot, Pool Hall (skip next two buildings) Tom X. Bowens Office &
Bar. Texas & Pacific Railroad tracks in foreground. Highway 80 (runs east and west)
divides the tracks and buildings. Monahans is to the east and Pecos is west.

Camera is facing east, toward Monahans. On
the left is the Texas & Pacific R. R. Depot. On the right is the Shell Service
Station. The next building to the east is Sitton's Grocery. To the right would be the
corner (northeast) of Rattle Snake Air Force Base.

camera is facing west, toward Pecos. On
the left, starting left to right are Joe Whitefields Dance Hall & Bar, Aztec Cafe,
Drug Store, Pool Hall & Barber Shop, Tom Bowen's Office and Bar (notice radio antenna
- Tom was the Sheriff) Movie Theatre and then Goetcher's Texace Service Station. The road
that turn right goes to the Hight School and then on to Wink.

On
the right - Railroad Station. The two story building on the right is the Movie Theatre.
And then Goetcher's Texaco Station.
