African Americans in Van Zandt County

It is very difficult indeed for African Americans to research their family history but it can be done. The problem is lack of public records. Although we know we can't solve this problem altogether, we would like to help researchers as much as possible. We will be adding to this page whenever we find something appropriate. We are beginning with just a few items but this page will grow as we find other Van Zandt County material. We welcome any submissions or volunteer help!
