Modenia Airhart Rahlfs Cox, 86, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, in Amarillo.  Services will be at 10 a.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Miller, the Rev. Paul Burwash and the Rev. Tom Stribling officiating. Burial will be in Happy Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors.  Mrs. Cox was born May 31, 1918, to Adney and Lloyd Airhart in Swisher County. She was one of 10 children. She married George Rahlfs in 1939 and farmed with him for more than 50 years until his death in 1990. She married Newt Cox in 1992 and lived in Miami and Amarillo until his death in 2002.  She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, L.G. Airhart, John B. Airhart, Bill Airhart and Laverne Airhart; and a sister, Madeline Pursley.  Survivors include two daughters, JaNet Lindsey and husband, Ron, and Jean Boyles, all of Amarillo; a son, Lloyd Rahlfs Sr. and wife, Ann, of Happy; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jamie Airhart of California and Tom Airhart of Amarillo; two sisters, Dorothy Brechtel of Louisiana and Dona McAtee of Oklahoma; three sisters-in-law, Yvonne Airhart and Betty Rahlfs, both of Amarillo, and Imogene MacDonald of California; a brother-in-law, Otis Harman of Tulia; and many nieces and nephews.  Amarillo Globe-News, 13 December 2004.

Albert Devin, 84, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004.  Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rob Lindley, pastor, officiating and the Rev. Ernie McGaughey, retired Methodist minister, assisting. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery by Kornerstone Funeral Directors.  Mr. Devin was born Aug. 5, 1920, in Swisher County. He farmed and ranched in Swisher County all his life, and he served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.  Survivors include his wife, Pat; a daughter, Janie Notley of Tulia; two sons, Frank Devin of Finney and Lannie Devin of Idalou; his twin brother, Delbert Devin of Tulia; two sisters, Lena Allen of Canyon and Catherine Sprawls of Tulia; five grandchildren, Crystal Devin, James Devin, Tara Devin, Lacey Watkins and Carley West; a great-grandchild, Ashley Watkins; and several nieces and nephews and friends.  Amarillo Globe News, 10 August 2004.

Nancy Campbell Hamilton, 71, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, in Grants, N.M.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Davenport, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home.  Mrs. Hamilton was born Nov. 3, 1932, in Clarksville. She grew up in Edmonson and Plainview where she graduated from Plainview High School in 1950.  She moved to Tulia in 1953. She worked for Swisher Electric Co-op for 25 years. She married Wayne Hamilton on Nov. 11, 1991. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tulia.  Her husband died Friday, April 23, 2004, in Albuquerque, N.M.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Crader and Billy Crader; a daughter, Kay Sturgess in May 2003; and a son-in-law, Robert Sturgess in December 2003.  Survivors include three sons, Randy Campbell and wife, Fleta, and J.C. Campbell, all of Amarillo, and Gregg Campbell and wife, Stephanie of Perryton; her stepchildren, Todd Hamilton of Allen, Art Hamilton of Oklahoma City, Max Hamilton of Madisonville and Tammy Craig of Houston; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.  Amarillo Globe-News, 25 April 2004.

Wayne O. Hamilton, 72, died Friday, April 23, 2004, near Albuquerque, N.M.  Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Davenport, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Silverton Cemetery in Silverton by Wallace Funeral Home.  Mr. Hamilton was a farmer.  Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Craig of Houston; three sons, Max Hamilton of Madisonville, Art Hamilton of Oklahoma City and Todd Hamilton of Allen; three stepsons, Randy Campbell and J.C. Campbell, both of Amarillo and Gregg Campbell of Perryton; a brother, Melvin "Red" Hamilton of Spearman; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.  Amarillo Globe-News, 25 April 2004.

Tommy "Poppy" Jarnagin, 58, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Oasis Southwest Baptist Church in Amarillo with the Rev. J. Alan Ford, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors.  Mr. Jarnagin was born Nov. 12, 1946, in Amarillo to Temple and Willie Mai Ford Jarnagin. He married Pat Brewer in Dalhart in 1971. He was a custom harvester since 1964, traveling to Colorado, Wyoming, North Dakota and Oklahoma to cut wheat. He quit traveling and decided to stay close to home in July 1995 when his best buddy, Bracken, was born. "Poppy" found a new hobby working in the shop with good friends restoring cars. His best times were spending time with his family and he was blessed with another best buddy, Kayden, in May 2004. He was a member of Southwest Baptist Church in Amarillo. He was loved by many and will always be in our hearts. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jeanette Jarnagin of Happy; a son, Chad Jarnagin of Amarillo; a brother, Jerry Jarnagin of Ellensburg, Wa.; and two grandsons, Bracken Jarnagin of Happy and Kayden Jarnagin of Stinnett.  Amarillo Globe-News, 25 November 2004.
