Hilario Barrea Rodriguez
Hilario Barrea Rodriguez, 80, of Robert Lee and formerly of Sterling City, passed away Friday, July 18, 1997, at his residence. Service was Sunday, July 20, at the First Baptist church of Sterling City. Burial was in the city Cemetery, Directed by Ross Funeral Home. He was born July 12, 1917, in Sheffield, Texas. He lived in Sanderson and moved to Sterling city in 1931 with his parents, Benijo and Juanita Rodriguez. He married Siriaca Longoria on October 5, 1940. They lived in Sterling City until 1981 when they moved to Robert Lee, where he resided for the past 16 years. He was a retired laborer. survivors include one son and his wife, Josue”Jody” and Susan Rodriguez of Robert Lee; two daughters, Carolina Garcia and Ernestina Gaitan and husband, Pilo, of Sterling City eleven grandchildren 16 grand-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews one brother, the Rev Crescento Rodriguez of Mertzon and one sister, Manuela Rodriguez of Sterling City. He was preceded in death by his wife, Siriaca; three brothers; one son-in-law and one great grandchild.
