Estelle Lowe Parker

 

Estelle Lowe Parker passed away Saturday, August 30, 1997, after a long and full life. Soon after she was born in Montgomery, Louisiana, he family moved to Sterling City, She went to Dallas to Attend SMU and taught English before meeting and marrying Kenneth H. Parker. Mrs. Parker was an active member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church until he health failed A devoted Sunday school teacher, she used her talent as a pianist to teach young children their first hymns. The Dallas community benefited from her dedicated volunteerism. She served terms a president of the Charlene Palmer Garden Club, the SMS Mother’s Association, and chaired committees for numerous organizations, such as the Dallas Symphony League, the Dallas Opera Association, and the DAR. Mrs. Parker is survived by her granddaughter Cynthia Louise Reid of Dallas, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Roland Lowe of Sterling city, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial service was held on Tuesday September 2, 1997, in Wynne Chapel of Highland Park Presbyterian church.
