C.J. Dunn, 68, Buried
 
  C.J. Dunn, 68, died Feb. 2 at his home.
   Charlie Jasper Dunn was born May 3, 1903 in Sterling City, the son of Charlie and Clara Dunn and the grandson of Henry C. and Bettie Dunn, early pioneer settlers of Sterling County.
   C.J. married Evelyn Hallmark, daughter of Luke and Nora Hallmark on June 24, 1934.
   C.J. was a Baptist and a long-time cowboy, a carpenter and a contractor for pear digging and fence building with his father-in-law Luke Hallmark.
   Survivors include his wife; one son, Bobby Dunn of Socorro; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Glass and Mrs. Beverly Miller, both of Sterling City; and Mrs. Barba Clanton of Fort Davis; one brother, Denver Dunn of Big Spring; three sisters Mrs. Winnie Bright of Sterling City, Mrs. Dale King of Mercury and Mrs. Clara Belle Mullins of Bakersfield, Calif, and thirteen grandchildren.
   Services were at 3 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist church and burial was in Montvale Cemetery.
   Pallbearers were John I. Blair, Foster Sims Price, Dayton Barrett, Charlie Davis, John Brock, Bill Humble and Ralph Davis. Honorary pallbearers were Fowler McEntire, Dr. W.J. Swann , Tom Hunble, Will Durham and Viril Brownfield.
   “He was a devoted husband and father, a kind neighbor, and a Christian in all the name implies. A good man has gone to his eternal heritage. We are among those who mourn his passing”
