John Sowell Cemetery

This old cemetery is located in the woods south of Broaddus.  Only three monuments could be located.  Tradition has this to be a large cemetery.  The area is over-grown and grave sites could not be determined.

Directions:  Take FM 2258 from Broaddus.  Travel 2.1 miles staying to the right, at the third Y take the left fork to the Wiley Price home.  The cemetery is now enclosed with a cattle panel fence with a metal gate and has a sign reading "Burnaman Bend and Sowell Cemetery"
