Burns, Sam – Theft of cattle; committed July 1871; indicted
November, same year; tall, slender, blue eyes, light hair, 40
years old, weight 150 pounds, in Denton County.
Tollett, Sam – Murder; committed September 1872; indicted
November, same years; negro, 5 feet 10 inches high, weighs 160
pounds, quick spoken, bad countenance.
Slatter, Fred – Theft of a horse; committed June 1872;
indicted November, same year; light hair and complexion, blue
eyes, 5 feet 7 inches high, weighs 140 pounds, supposed to be
in the Nation.
Byford, Wesley – Assault to kill; committed September
1872; indicted July 1873.
Holmesley, M F – Murder; committed December 1872; indicted
July 1873; 5 feet 7 inches high, weighs 150 pounds, blue eyes,
auburn hair, in Western Texas.
Bray, A J – Murder; committed May 1875; indicted July,
same year; 24 years old, dark hair, eyes and complexion, weighs
150 pounds, supposed to be in Waco.
McFadden, J N – Murder; committed June, 1875; indicted
July, same year.
Ivy, Lee; Ivy, Marion; and Shoemake, Joe – Theft of
a steer; committed October 1874; indicted November, same year;
all of them about 22 years old; the two Ivys have dark hair and
eyes; the other has blue eyes.
Tutt, Ben – Assault to kill; committed February 1875;
indicted March, same year; 5 feet 8 inches high, dark hair and
eyes, weight 135 pounds, 25 years old.
Calhoun, Levi – Theft of cattle; committed January 1875;
indicted March, same year; tall and slender, rather stooped shoulders,
35 years old, blue eyes, auburn hair.
Moss, Pinkney – Theft of hogs; committed December 1873;
indicted March 1875.
Adams, P A – Incest; committed June 1875; indicted July,
same year; 5 feet 10 inches high, blue eyes, very light hair
and complexion, stooped shoulders and pox-marked.
Parker, Joe – Assault to kill; committed April 1876;
indicted June, same year; 5 feet 10 inches high, blue eyes, heavy
set, light hair, 175 pounds, quick spoken.
Taylor, Floyd – Rape and perjury; committed January
1877; indicted March, same year; 5 feet 11 inches high, blue
eyes, auburn hair, light complexion, rather downcast look, 145
pounds.
McCullar, E – Theft of hogs; committed January 1877;
indicted April, same year; 45 years old, 6 feet high, rather
stooped, blue eyes, auburn hair, down look, spare made, 140 pounds.
Campbell, Henry – Rape; convicted and appealed to Supreme
Court, and escaped pending appeal; negro, 5 feet 4 inches high,
chunky, 150 pounds, bad looking, don’t talk plainly.
Anderson, Ralph – Theft of saddle; committed September
1877; indicted September, same year; tall, slender rawboned negro,
30 years old, quick spoken.
McDaniel, John – Theft of cattle; committed May 1875;
indicted July, same year; 25 years old, 5 feet 10 inches high,
black hair and eyes, near Fort Griffin.

Morris, R S – Rape. Age 38 years; height 6 feet; weight
170 pounds; color white; complexion dark; eyes black; hair black;
occupation farmer. Walks gawky; has two fingers broken or mashed
up on right hand.
Daniel, C W – Theft of horse. Age 22 years; height 5
feet 10 inches; weight 150 pounds; color white; complexion dark;
eyes black; hair black; occupation farmer. Smooth face.
