Looking for Charles "Charlie" (b 1875), Robert E. (b 1869) and Albert
Lacy BRUCE (b 1875) born Catahoula Parish, La. all s/o Francis Burton BRUCE,
b 1827 Catahoula Parish, La. They left Louisiana and came to Texas, in Wood
or Rains Co. Robert married 1897 in Red River Co., Texas; Albert married 1897
also. Francis Burton BRUCE d 1933 and is buried in PinHook Cemetery, Texas.

Rains Co., Texas; d 1977 Tarrant Co., Texas) d/o Elic Albert CARTER (b 1876
Hunt Co., Texas; d Rains Co.?) and Lillie Bell EVANS CARTER PATTERSON (1881-1956,
buried Greenview Cemetery, Hopkins Co., Texas). Lillie Bell's mother was Mary
Etta "Mollie" EVANS BUSBEE (1862-1933; buried Miller Grove Cemetery).
Lillie Bell's siblings were Dora EVANS KINGRY EDWARDS, Mary EVANS LENNON and

both parents born in Texas; the census shows all parents' parents to be bone

in 1880 Rais Co. census, living with her daughter, Cena EATON. Possibly burried
in Emory City Cemetery. Ara DAILEY was first married to Ausborn COOKE and after
his death in 1855 in Wood Co., she married Samuel BURNS, but she was going by
the name of COOKE in the 1880 census. Any help appreciated.

Seeking info. regarding my ggrandfather, Robert Arrington PEDEN who was living
near Dougherty, Texas, when he died in 1891. His burial is unknown; however,
I would assume that it is somewhere near there and would love to know where.
He was born 20 Aug 1852 in Georgia & married Flanoria Eutencia COOPER, 11
Sept 1884. Following the death of Robert Arrington PEDEN, Flanoria married Crampton
Harris (C.H.) CARTER, who was born 25 Jul 1867 and died 13 Feb 1952 in Yantis,
Texas. Flanoria was born 5 Aug 1867 and died 5 Jun 1925 and is buried in Yantis
Cemetery also. My grandfather, John Seaborn PEDEN, was born to Robert and Flanoria
29 Jun 1889 in Alba, Texas. His older brother was William Preston PEDEN, born
3 Dec 1886. These were the only children from this marriage. Any info. regarding
this family would be greatly appreciated.

Searching for info. on Gertrude GODDARD (b 1882, Texas) who married Leonard
ALSUP in Bosque Co., 1900 and died in San Angelo, Tom Green Co., TX. Her father
was James Wesley GODDARD, who was originally from Illinois but according to
the 1880 Rains Co. census, traveled to Mississippi where he married Amanda WILSON
and Arkansas, settling in Rains Co., Texas by 1880. He did not provide full
names to the census taker, just initials, so I'm not able to figure out the
family names. If anyone has any info. on the GODDARDs in Rains Co., I'd love
to hear from you.
