Simonton on Thursday, August 28, 1997
Seeking any info. on ancestors or descendants of Isaac ALLRED, born 1802,
GA. Isaac's father is listed as being born in NC; his father could possibly
be Moses ALLRED (b 17 May 1769, NC) who is listed on 1830 Jefferson Co., AL
census with wife. In Jefferson Co., AL in 1828 he married Margaret McCOUN/McCOWAN
(born ca1802, SC?) and were listed on the 1830, 1840, 1850 Jefferson Co.,
AL census with children: 1) unknown dau.; 2) Melissa, b1832, AL; 3) John Alexander,
b1833, AL, married Martha E. RUSHING in east TX; 4) Thomas M., b1838, AL,
married Narcissus ? in east TX; 5) Manila, b1845, AL, married John Calvin
RUSHING in east TX (my great grandparents); 6) William V. or B., b1848, AL;
7) Isaac Judson, b1850, AL, married E. Ann in TX. Elizabeth J. ALLRED who
married Robert W. SPRADLING, 1849, Jefferson Co., AL may be their 1st dau.
Other ALLREDs listed in Jefferson Co, AL in 1830 are: Moses ALLRED, Thomas
ALLRED, b1797, & Margaret (ALLRED) ROGERS, b1806. Margaret and husband
John B. ROGERS moved to Franklin Co., AL & are buried in Pleasant Site
Cemetery along with Moses ALLRED, b 17 May 1769. I believe this Moses to be
the Moses who is listed as the son of Thomas ALLRED in "Allred Family
in America" and the brother of Thomas ALLRED, Jr. who was living in the
household of Elizabeth (ALLRED) GUNTER in BLount Co., AL in 1850 and also
to be the one who gave consent for the marriage of his dau. Sally to marry
Dr. GRAVES in Jefferson Co., AL in 1819. Isaac ALLRED shows up next in Wood

children from AL and a dau. born in TX, Frances Sarah, b1852. He is in Rains
