Welcome to Presidio County, Texas
County Information
Presidio County was created from
Bexar County on 3 January, 1850, although county operations did not
begin until 1875. The county seat is
Marfa.

Marriage and probate records are available from 1875; deeds and
district court minutes are available from 1876. None of these
records have been microfilmed. Records prior to 1875 may be found
in the counties which contained this area of western Texas:
