Ran by Claude Cooke and his father John Cooke. Was located behind the downtown Hotel on 1st Street. Building was torn down in 1970

Old Cope place about 1947 when John Edgar Cope first bought it. The house still stands today (with additions) at

1701 North Texas street in Fort Stockton, Tx. It is the only house on the complete block even though it is surrounded by blocks with newer houses

On the left is Frank Morales, the lady in black (center) is Bennie Belle Boydstun, the lady on the right is Josephine Moore Buchanan. Bennie was County Clerk for a couple of years.

The Black & White Cafe (ca: 1938) located in Ft Stockton. The location of cafe is believed to be referred to today as the "Old Pool Hall Building" The Cafe was owned by the Cope Family and Earnest Rigs. Do you recognize any of these people?

Orient Express - 1911 Newspaper Article reads: CONSTRUCTION INCHES WEST - This picture was made in 1911, when the Orient reached Fort Stockton. The work was of great interest to average citizens who came in flocks to inspect the engines along the line.
