It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Mike Basham, TXGenWeb coordinator and USGenWeb Board member, who passed away Monday night.
For those who would like to send a card to Mike Basham's family:
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, 19 September, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dallas. A Vigil Service and Rosary will be said 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, also at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Many have suggested setting up a memorial fund for Mike and the Dallas Genealogial Society was contacted to see what could be set up. Mike was instrumental in developing a computer research area with five computers with CD's and appropriate genealogy software for the Genealogy Section at the Dallas Public Library. Accordingly, a memorial fund in Mike's name has been established and contributions can be sent to:
