I am looking for more information about my grandfather. His name was W J Robinson. It is my understanding that the W J doesn't stand for anything and that is how his name appears on his birth certificate. I do know that he was born in Snyder, TX. He lived in Weatherford for quite some time and died in Weatherford in 1959 in an automobile accident, I believe he was only 35 at the time of his death. In particular I am looking for his exact birth date and death date. Also would like to know his parents names and birth/death dates. They are all buried in the same cemetery in Weatherford, I am just not sure which cemetery and would appreciate that information as well.

I am searching for my 2nd great aunt, Willie, maiden name was COWDEN, was married first to George Leslie/Lesley BAKER but divorced him, and after that was married to or with several men (if she married them we don't know it), so her surname at her death is unknown. Reports are she was born 25 Feb 1898-1899 in (Lowell?) Erath Co., TX., and died ca 1963 in either Weatherford, Mineral Wells, or White Settlement, TX, and was buried at White Settlement, TX, cemetery unknown at this time. Reports say she and one man owned or operated a cafe in Big Spring, Howard Co., TX in the 1960s, but closed it down before her death. Her father was Linn C. COWDEN and her mother was Brunette BIGGS (aferwards married to John Wesley MOORE) BUT at one time the family thought her father's name was Henry Linn (Lynn) COWDEN (confused her father and his brother, and lumped their names together). Other family members' records show her father's name could be listed as Henry Linn COWDEN, L. COWDEN, Leonard COWDEN, and her mother as Brunette MOORE. She had siblings Henrietta "Etta" (COWDEN) STEPHENS BROOKS (married 1stly M. Wade STEPHENS, and 2ndly Andrew J. BROOKS), Susie (Cowden) NIPP (married Dennis Lee "Denn" NIPP), Virgie (COWDEN) HICKEY (married James Riley HICKEY), Mattie (COWDEN) LAWSON, Alma (COWDEN) TATE, and half-siblings Roy MOORE, Mabel (MOORE) TURNBOW BRAND HINSON, Jasper MOORE. The COWDEN family was from Erath Co., TX; MOORE lived in Erath and Nolan Cos., TX; STEPHENS lived in Erath and Tarrant Cos., TX; BROOKS in Parker Co., TX; BAKER in Erath, Dawson, and perhaps other counties in TX; NIPP in Ira, Scurry Co., TX; HICKEY in Nolan Co., TX; LAWSON in Erath, Dawson, Martin, Gaines, Midland, Howard Cos., TX; TATE in Erath Co., TX. Please email me if you have information concerning Aunt Willie (COWDEN) BAKER ?????, as there are a lot of Willies out there...
