DAVIS, HENSON, MARKLEY posted by Linda Henson (Mullins) on Tuesday, August 5, 2003

I am looking for information on any of the following people. Newton DAVIS born in Illinois and married Emma A. HENSON sometime between 1900-1910. Emma was born in Texas (probably PARKER COUNTY) and may have married Newton there or in Oklahoma. Emma was shown with her family in the Parker county census of 1900. Later she was shown in Blaine county Oklahoma with her two children Newton DAVIS and Charleston DAVIS. Charleston may have had a different father because the 1910 census shows her father being from Texas. And it shows Emma as being a widow.

FRAKES, LOVING, SMELKER, TRENT posted by Leatha A. Betts on Saturday, August 16, 2003

Seeking information on the wife of Newton H. Frakes, Sabra A. Trent (daughter of Issac Riley Trent and Malissa A. Loving) Would like to know where she is on the 1880 Census...she and her sister Wilda Trent, were born between 1875 and 1876....(may have been spurious)...Sabra remarried after the death of Newton, to W. A. Smelker and her father had her reburied by him and his two other wives, in Sweetwater Cemetery, Nolan Co. Texas. They also reburied Wilda there as well. Their mother is buried in Fairfield Cemetery, Burnet Co. Texas. Newton and Sabra Frakes had two children, Newton Jr. (Newlie) who only lived three years and Irma E. Frakes. They are not with either of their parents who appear on the census with their new spouses (Riley Trent is with wife Sarah Fisher County, Texas and Malissa is with husband Reubin Levingston in Burnet Co.) So where are the girls? Anyone with the answer will help a great deal...have done extensive genealogy on Loving surname...and know about Trent's as well (see sites.rootsweb.com under their family tree link for my postings...)
