Edward Eugene Bawcom, 70, of Amarillo died Wednesday, April 12,2006.Bawcom was born in Wellington. He attended Ranger Junior College, Sul Ross University and West Texas State University. Edward gave 25 years of service to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch as a coach, teacher and administrator. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and was an avid golfer. His biggest passion was his grandchildren and all of their activities. He married Melba "Chis" Chisum on August 22, 1957 in Amarillo. Survivors include his wife Chis, son Butch Bawcom and wife Vickie of Midland, daughter Sheri Collins and husband Tom of Waxahachie; grandchildren, Tye Bawcom, Logan Bawcom, Boome Collins of BridgettCollins; two brothers, Leon Bawcom of Bryan and Leamon Bawcom and wife Nell of Wellington; and sister Patsy Dodge and husband John of Lebanon, Montana.
