MILLER M. ALLDREDGE, born in 1866 AL, died in Sweetwater in 1944.  Buried in Sweetwater Cemetery; wife Margaret "Maggie", born 1866 in AL, died in Grand Prairie, TX in 1959.  Buried Sweetwater Cemetery.

HIRAM DAVID CAVE - born Sep. 30, 1845, died 1897 buried Sweetwater Cemetery.  He married A. Jane McGlothlin Oct. 14, 1865.  She was born Jul. 15, 1848 Cassville, Barry Co., MO.  Children: 1. Erastus Cecratur "Ras", 2. Bell Dora, 3. Dallas, 4. Walter W., 5. Adella, 6. Vida A., 7. James Wesley, 8. Thomas, 9. Mark, 10. Emmett.

JOHN HUGHES COCHRAN born 1838 Maury Co., TN; son of William M. Cochran and Nancy Jane Hughes.  Came to Texas March 1, 1843 to Dallas Co., TX.   1860 he, as a Lieutenant, commanded a detachment of the Texas Rangers at Ft. Belknap under Governor Sam Houston.  On June 30, 1860 he married Martha Jane Johnson.  He served as a private in the Confederate Army until he suffered a chest injury.  He moved to Nolan County 1894.

Guy E. MORRIS - makes this statement in a publication:  "In 1919, Morris and M.C. MANROE were made cosignees of the Texaco Oil Company to distribute oil and gasoline in Nolan County.  In 1942, Morris turned over his interest in the partnership to his son, Carlos, who later bought out Manroe."

ZOLLIE COFFER STEAKLEY, JR. & LEONA RUTH BUTLER - Judge Steakley was appointed to the Supreme Court of Texas as an Associate Justice in January 1961.  He served three terms on the Supreme Court of Texas until his retirement in 1980.  He then served as Special Assistant to Attorney General Mark White.  When Governor White was elected to the governor's office Judge Steakley joined the Governor's Office of General Counsel.

VETERINARIANS in Nolan County - early to 1985

JEANETTE WADE:  Jeanette Wade is remembered by many students as a social studies teacher at Reagan Junior High School in Sweetwater.  Miss Wade completed forty-one years of teaching in Nolan County.

P.A. & Wanda WOMBLE:  In a publication is the follow statement, "P.A. & I married in the old courthouse in Sweetwater, May 21, 1949, with my sister and her husband, Billy D. Muncy, in attendance.  JUDGE M.C. MANROE presented me, the bride, with a small yellow rose.  Yellow is still my favorite color."
