Restored Nacogdoches County home built about 1841. Located 17.5 miles east of Nacogdoches on TX Hwy. 21, about 1/4 mile west of Chireno and the intersection of TX Hwy.95 and TX Hwy. 21. Hours: weekends, 2pm to 4pm.

Millard's Crossing Historic Village

 

Includes samples of East Texas architecture furnished with antiques and collections of Texas documents and maps. Some buildings are available to rent for special occasions. Buildings include Millard-Lee house (1837), Millard-Burrows house (1840), Log House and Fence (1830), Methodist Parsonage (1900), Double Corn Crib (1830), Chapel (1905), Watkins Homestead (1895). Located at 6020 North Street. Hours: 9am to 4pm Monday through Saturday, 1pm to 4pm Sunday. Call 936-564-6631

 

Nacogdoches Fire Museum

 

Formerly referred to as Central Fire Station, the museum is home to Nacogdoches' first commercial fire engine, old sirens, nozzles and tools, as well as numerous photos of local fires. Located at 214 E. Pilar. Tours by appointment. Call 936-559-2541

 

Old Stone Fort

HBoTX

Spanish colonial residence that interprets East Texas and Nacogdoches history. This replica of Antonio Gil Y'Barbo's 1779 stone house is on the SFA campus. Tours will be from 9am to 5pm Tuesday through Saturday; 1pm to 5pm Sunday, free admission. Call 936-468-2408.

Stone Fort Photo Exhibit at ETRC-SFASU

Sterne-Hoya House and Museum

 

Built by a prominent leader of the Texas Revolution in 1830. Sam Houston was baptized here. Located at 211 S. Lanana. Hours: 9am to noon and 2 to 5pm Monday through Saturday, free admission. Call 936-560-5426
