BARAJAS, JOHNNY                                                 January 23, 1943 � May 29, 1995

JOHNNY BARAJAS, 52, of Dallas, died Monday, May 29, 1995, at Methodist Hospital in Dallas.  Services were at 1 pm Wednesday, at Alexander Chapel in Naples, with Father Jerry Haby officiating.  Burial was in the Naples Cemetery.  Mr. Barajas was a former sheet metal worker, a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, and a former resident of Bowie County.  Survivors include his wife, Josephine Barajas of Dallas; two sons, Johnny Barajas, Jr. and Edward Barajas, both of Dallas; two daughters, Debbie Barajas and Dora Lynn Barajas, both of Allen, Texas; six brothers, Tirso Barajas of Cleburne, Pete Barajas of Kileen, Willie Barajas of Cedar Hill, Texas, Henry Barajas of Shreveport, and Andres Barajas of Ennis; four sisters, Rita Rico of Chattanooga, TN, and Carlotta Barajas, Juanita Barajas and Natalia Fuentes, all of Dallas; and one grandson.  (A Row 22)

Betts, Ida Marie Ida Marie Betts, 74 of Daingerfield, died Sunday, December 31, at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, following a brief illness.  Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. , Tuesday, January 2, at the First Baptist Church of Daingerfield with the Rev. John Stone and the Rev. Norman Crisp officiating.  Burial was in the Concord Cemetery at Omaha.  Mrs. Betts was a nurse and a member of the First Baptist Church.  She was a former resident of Naples.  Survivors include her husband, John Betts of Daingerfield; one son Bobby Polson of Goodyear, Ariz; one daughter Brenda Bowman of Nacogdoches, TX; two grandchildren, John Polson of Nacogdoches and Leigh Browman of College Station, TX; a number of nieces and nephews.

BETTS, MARION                                                      March 30, 1913 � November 13, 1995

MARION BETTS, 82, of Omaha, died Monday, November 13, 1995, at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, following and extended illness.  Funeral services were at 2 pm, Wednesday, November 15, at the First Baptist Church in Omaha, with the Rev. Neal Thornburg and the Rev. Clifford Longino officiating.  Burial was in the Omaha Cemetery under the direction of Bates-Cooper-Weems-Robison Funeral Home. Mr. Betts was born Friday, March 31, 1913, at Cornett, Texas, and was preceded in death by his parents, Minnie and John Betts.  He was a member of the Jefferson First Methodist Church and the David Elliott Masonic Lodge.  He had managed the Sinclair Wholesale Agency and was an elementary school principal for 26 years and had retired from that position.  Survivors include his wife, Gradye Faye Coley Betts of Omaha, a twin brother, W. Mildred Betts of Cornett; a sister-in-law, Annie Lee Betts of Cornett; a nephew, Dr. Gordon Betts of Sulphur Springs; two great nephews; and numerous cousins and other relatives. BUFORD, ERMA                                                        December 18, 1936 � June 13, 1995

ERMA BUFORD, 56, of Daingerfield, died Tuesday, June 13, 1995, at Titus County Memorial Hospital in Mt. Pleasant.  Services were at 2 pm Saturday, June 17, at the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Daingerfield, with Elder Alfred Key Sr. officiating.  Burial was in the Whitmore Cemetery at Daingerfield.  Mrs. Buford was born December 18, 1936, in Morris County.  She was retired from Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas as a dietitian.  She was a member of the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ.  Survivors include her husband, Willie Buford of Daingerfield; one son, Ray Charles Moore of Daingerfield; one step-daughter, Raeland Dean Buford of Dallas; four brothers, Lawrence Lee of Greenville, Bobbie Lee of Dallas, and Kenneth Lee and Terry Lee, both of Daingerfield; seven sisters, Dorothy Lee, Lola Hayes, Marilyn Frazier, Charlie M. Younger and Gwendolyn Frederick, all of Daingerfield, Ada Gotcher of Greenville, and Paula Hill of Omaha; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren. (Row 2)

BESSIE MAY BYRD, 80, of Naples, died Monday, October 23, 1995 at Redbud Retreat nursing Home in Naples.  Funeral services were at 1 pm, Saturday, October 28, at the Williams Chapel Baptist Church in Naples, with the Rev. J. M. Brooks officiating.  Burial was in the Morning Star Cemetery.  Mrs. Byrd was born January 2, 1915.  She was a homemaker and a member of the White Oak Chapel Christian Church in Omaha.  Survivors include two stepsons, Vernon Byrd of Brownfield, TX, and Ernest Byrd of Tyler; two stepdaughters, Ermaline Wilkerson of Naples, and Codella Porter of Oakland, CA; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; two nieces; and a number of other relatives.   (Section C Left � South Side)

CANNON, SALLY ANN HARRIS ROBERSON   March 14, 1941 � August 31, 1995

Sally Ann Harris Roberson Cannon, 54, of Omaha, died Thursday, August 31,  in Omaha.  Funeral services were Sunday, September 3, at the Reeder-Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Hughes Springs, with the Rev. Kerry Duffey officiating.  Burial was in the Bell Haven Cemetery at Omaha.  Mrs. Cannon was born March 14, 1941, in Omaha.  She was a homemaker and a Baptist.  Survivors include three sons, Todwyn Roberson, Michael Roberson and Anthony Robeson; two daughters, Anita Kym Roberson and Carla Nicolette Roberson; one brother, Charlie Harris, Jr.; and five sisters, Carlene Nelson, Elgie Evans, Evelyn Morgan, Sandra Johnson, and Gloria Jones; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a special companion, Alfred Cannon. CHISM, MELVIN FRANK                                       March 3, 1954 -- August 7, 1995

MELVIN FRANK CHISM, 41, of Lone Star, died Monday, August 7, following a lengthy illness.  Services were at 11 am, Saturday, August 12, at the Mt. Mitchell Church of Christ in Omaha, with Bro. Luckey Randall officiating.  Burial was in the Reynolds Cemetery in Daingerfield.  Mr. Chism graduated from Daingerfield High School, attended Kilgore Junior College and NTCC, where he received an associate degree in applied science.  He was employed at Anderson-Hickey for seven years, and was a member of the Mt. Mitchell Church in Omaha.  He was preceded in death by a brother, John Rodgers.  Survivors include one son, Christopher Chism of Henderson; one daughter, Marquita Latrell Chism of Henderson; his parents, Henry and Hattie Younger of Daingerfield; seven brothers, Willie Rodgers, Jimmy Chism Sr., and William Chism, all of Lone Star, Ronald Smith Sr. and Dedrick Younger, both of Dallas, Henry Earl Younger of Elcon, CA, and Earnest Younger of Daingerfield; five sisters, Monica Linwood of Cason, Tammy Craine of OK City, OK, Rozalyn Williams of Lone Star, and Sharon Younger and Jackie Keller, both of Dallas; two grandmothers, Ozie Rodgers of Omaha and Bennie Mae Younger of Pomona, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Goldie Eurcell Cobb, 86, of Naples, died Sunday, October 22, after a lengthy illness.  Funeral services were Tuesday, October 24, at the Daniels Chapel Methodist Church near Naples, with the Rev. Bill Harty, the Rev. Lanny Peek, and the Rev. Larry Hindsley officiating.  Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Service.  Mrs. Cobb was born August 29, 1909.  She was a member of the Daniels Chapel Methodist Church and a longtime resident of the Naples area.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Cobb.  Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Leon and Bobbie Cobb of Naples; one daughter, Merle Richardson of Naples; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.  (NW Row 16)

ETHEL DELOIS COFFEY, 53, died October 15, 1995, at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, TX.  Funeral services were Friday, October 20, at 1 pm, at the Antioch Baptist Church in Naples with the Rev. JAMES COFFEY, 70, of Fresno, CA, died Wednesday, November 15, 1995 in the Corcoran District Hospital at Fresno.  Funeral services were Wednesday, November 22, at the Omaha First Baptist Church West at 2 pm, with the Rev. R H Davis officiating.  Burial was in the Bellheaven Cemetery at Omaha.  Mr. Coffey was born August 6, 1925.  He is survived by a son, Billy Coffey of Omaha; three sisters, Emma Toney of Corcoran, CA, Eliza Harris of Los Angeles, and Arthur Mae McCoy of Napes; and a host of other relatives and friends.  (Right Side of Drive)

JUSTEEN S CURREY, age 84, a resident of Flower Mound, died December 5, 1995 in Lewisville.  She was born March 6, 1911 in Jackson, MS, and had been a 50 year resident of Midland, TX before moving to Flower Mound.  Survivors include three sons, Morris Currey and wife, Sharon of San Clemente, CA; Billy �Bill� Currey and wife, Doris of Baton Rouge, LA and Charles �Chuck� Currey and wife, Kay of Flower Mound; a daughter, Mary �Mitzi� Pace and husband, Ron of Ft. Meyers, FL; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.  Graveside service was Friday, December 8, 1995 at the Omaha Cemetery in Omaha, TX with Rev. Davis, Obie Obie Davis, 89 of Omaha, died Tuesday, August 22, 1995.  Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 24 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Naples with the Rev. Nolan Richey officiating.  Burial was in the Concord Cemetery at Omaha.  Mr. Davis was born July 5, 1906, at Omaha.  He was a retired Exxon dealer, a veteran of World War II, a Mason for over 50 years, and a member of the Baptist Church.  He was a former resident of Chapel Hill, N. C. but had made his home at Omaha for the past 13 years.  He was preceded in death by his wife Mickie Moore Davis.  Survivors include one sister, Lura Walker of Omaha; two sisters-in-law, Lorene Davis and Maxine Davis, both of Omaha; two nieces Kay Hawkins of Huntsville, and Sarah Jane Moreland of Omaha; a number of great and great-great nieces and nephews.  Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Clayton, J. T. Clayton, Frank Clayton, Rudolph Jones, J. L. Waits and Toby Culver.

Verna Eloise Davis, 84, or Ore City, died Saturday, July 22, in Gilmer, TX.  Graveside services were at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 24, 1995 at the Concord Cemetery near Omaha, with the Rev. Floyd Manes officiating.  Arrangements were under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Naples.  Mrs. Davis, a former resident of Omaha, was born June 28, 1911 at Atoka, Oklahoma.  She is survived by her husband, Thomas Roscoe Davis of Ore City; four daughters, Juanita Johnson and Mary Powell of Ore City, Elouise Copeland of Palestine, and Loretta Tyler of Thailand; six sons, Tommy Davis and Billy Davis of Ore City, Willie Davis of Victoria, Carl Davis of DeKalb, Jerry Davis of Diana, and Charles Davis of Crandall; a sister Ruth Riddle of Nacogdoches; a brother, Pat Mane of Santa Fe; 28 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

GERALD A. ELLIS, 80, of Houston, formerly of Omaha, died Thursday, November 16, 1995.  Funeral services were at 2:30 pm, Sunday, November 19, at the First Baptist Church in Omaha, with the Rev. Neal Thornburg officiating. Burial was in the Omaha Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Service of Naples.  Mr. Ellis was born June 14, 1915.  He was a retired manager of Hampton Builders Supply at Naples, a deacon of the First Baptist Church of Omaha, and a member of the David Elliott Masonic Lodge at Omaha.  Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Maydelle Wright Ellis of Houston; one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and G. T. Vickers of Sugarland, TX; three grandchildren, Tresa Rogers and Anthony Moore of Houston, and Todd Moore of Richmond, TX; and a number of nieces and nephews.  Serving as pallbearers were F. M. Ellis, Hershel B.

ELLIS, HERSCHEL B                                                     November 27, 1916 � July 9, 1995

HERSCHEL B. ELLIS, 78, of Vancouver, Washington, died Sunday, July 9, 1995 at him home of congestive heart failure.  Services were at 12:30 pm Thursday, July 13, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel, followed by private burial at Williamette national Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.  Mr. Ellis was born November 27, 1916, in Omaha, Texas, and had lived in the Vancouver area for the last 17 years.  He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was a POW in Germany for two years.  He was a member of the Royal Oaks Country Club, Clark-Skamania Fly Fishers and Boys at Bridge.  He enjoyed playing bridge, fly fishing and golfing.  He began his career with the Department of Agriculture in San Francisco and transferred to Portland in 1953 as grain inspector.  He moved to Louisiana in 1961 as a southern area supervisor and returned to Portland in 1964 as western area supervisor.  From 1970 to 1974, still working for the U S government, he was loaned to the Liberian government to establish a rice marketing program.  He retired in 1974.  Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Dorothy "Bugs" Ellis; one son, Cleve Ellis of Vancouver; one brother, Gerald Ellis of Houston; and two grandchildren. 

Falls, Buddie

Buddie Falls, 77, of Ft. Worth , died Friday, June 9, at his home.  Graveside services were at 2 pm Monday, June 12, at Clark Cemetery in Jenkins, near Daingerfield.  Mr. Falls was born in Bogata and moved to Ft. Worth in 1947.  He was an international vice president of the Boilsermaker�s Union in an eight-state area and member of former Ft. Worth Boilermaker Local 96.  Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mildred Falls of Ft. Worth; one son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Ramona Falls of Houston; three brothers, Eugene Falls of Naples, Russell Falls of Conway, AR., and Bill Falls of Daingerfield; two grandchildren, Travis Lynn Falls and Casey Lee Falls, both of Houston; and a number of nieces and nephews.  (B Row 24)

Easter officiating.  Burial was in the Paradise Cemetery at Omaha.  Mrs. Forte was born January 28, 1902, at Omaha.  She was a member of the St. Paul�s Baptist Church in DeKalb, Texas.  Survivors include two sons, Harvey Forte and Herbert M. Bob Sinclair officiating.  Burial was in the Naples Cemetery.  Mrs. Gates was born May 1, 1914, in Terrell, TX.  She was a member of the Methodist Church, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a former resident of Jasper, TX.  Survivors include one daughter, Jeannette Redwine of Chandler, AZ; one son, Frederick Charles Gates of Lufkin; one brother, Earl Scaff of Omaha; one sister, Ina Parker of Naples; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. JERRY GOODWIN, 66, of Naples, died Tuesday, September 26, 1995, at his home following a brief illness.  No services were conducted as Mr. Goodwin had requested his body be donated to science.  Mr. Goodwin was born May 27, 1929, in Bowie County.  He was retired from Vinyard Enterprises, was a member of the Belden Masonic Lodge of Naples, and was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War.  Survivors include his wife, Edith Goodwin of Naples; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sheri and John Monclova of San Antonio, Theresa and Jerry Smith of Bright Star, AR, and Mary Beth and Rocky Taylor of Texarkana; two stepsons and one daughter-in-law, Walter and Lyn Lee of Aubrey, TX, and Howard Lee of Dallas; one stepdaughter and son-in-law, Bo and Clint Rounsavall of Chino Hill, CA; two brothers, George Goodwin of Arlington, and Benny Goodwin of Shreveport, LA; two sisters, Sarah Gauntt of Little Rock, AR, and June Smith of Red Lick, TX; 11 grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

MYRTLE DAVIS HARROD, 71, of Omaha, died Thursday, December 14, 1995.  Funeral services were at 2 pm, Sunday, December 17, at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Naples, with the Rev. Neal Thornburg officiating.  Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery near Omaha, under the direction of Alexander Funeral Service of Naples.  Mrs. Harrod was born November 17, 1924, and was a longtime resident of Omaha.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Omaha, and was preceded in death by her husband, David Harrod, and a daughter, Mary Harrod Hawkins.   Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, David and Sue Harrod of Tyler; one brother, Roscoe Davis of Gilmer; five grandchildren, Kevin Hawkins and Kenny Hawkins of Naples, David Harrod Jr., and Paul Harrod of Cookville, and Brad Sells of Tyler; and two great grandchildren.  Serving as pallbearers were Ralph Brown, Jack Morton, Robert Laney, James Laney and Kenneth Patton. Bennie C Thomas officiating.  Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery.  Mrs. Hill was born March 9, 1909 in Naples and was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Williams Chapel Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by a son, M. C. Weaver, and a daughter, Ozella Parker, two brothers, and a one sister.  Survivors include one son, the Rev. Bennie C. Thomas of Mt. Calm; one daughter, Annie Jean Williams of Ada, OK; one brother, Augustus Hill of Monahan, TX; one sister, Cleora Stiggers of Omaha; 14 great grandchildren; and a host of great great grandchildren. MRS. LEONA (BATCHELOR) HOLDER, 86, of Naples, died Sunday, October 7, 1995, at the Titus County Regional Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant, following a lengthy illness.  Funeral services were at 2 pm, Monday, October 9, at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Naples, with the Rev. Trey Roberson and the Rev. Tommy Weems officiating.  Burial was in the Omaha Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Service of Naples.  Mrs. Holder was preceded in death by her husband.  They were retired from the cattle business in Bogata, Texas, where they were former residents.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Naples, and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Garden Club.  Survivors include one sister, Tinnie Williams of Naples; a brother, Robert H. Batchelor of New Boston; and a number of nieces and nephews.  Serving as pallbearers were Kenneth Minton, Sam Holder, Richard Towler, Buddy Lee, Bill Ellis and Benny Best. (F Row 6)

FRANK JOHNSON, 73, of Ore City, died Tuesday, June 13, 1995.  Funeral services were at 11 am, Monday, June 19, at the Piedmont Church of God in Christ with Joe McCall officiating.  Burial was in the Daingerfield Cemetery.  Mr. Johnson was born February 3, 1922, in Upshur County.  He served in the US Army.  Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Foster of Marshall; one nephew, Harold Johnson of Las Vegas, NV; three nieces, Anna Sue Thompson of Texarkana, and Tillie Edwards and Rose Mitchell, both of Dallas; a cousin Thelmon Johnson of Marietta and a number of other relatives. KOONCE, FRANK C. JR.                                                  August 21, 1925 - January 13, 1995

Frank C. Koonce, 69 of Linden, formerly of Naples, died Friday January 13 in Shreveport, LA.  Services were at 2:00 pm Monday, January 16 at Center Grove Baptist Church in Linden, with the Rev. Glenn Griffith and the Rev. Phil Starrett officiating.  Burial was in the Concord Cemetery at Omaha.  Mr. Koonce was born August 21, 1925 in Huntsville, AL.  He was a retired medical technician, a member of Center Grove Baptist Church, a member of the Disabled American Veterans, and a veteran of World War II.  He was preceded in death by one son, Michael.  Survivors include his wife, Edna Koonce of Linden; four sons, James Koonce of Olympia, WA, Richard Koonce of Baton Rough, LA, Terry Koonce of Bloomburg, TX and Kenneth Koonce of Texarkana, TX; one daughter Debbie Little of Mesquite; one brother Billy Joe Koonce of Huntsville, AL; one sister Louise Honey of Fayetteville, TN; 13 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  (S Row 1)

Pewitt Class of 1995; a member of the Naples Volunteer Fire Department; and a member of the Liberty Baptist Church of Naples.  Survivors include his mother and step-father, Barbara and Loyd Martin of Naples; his father and stepmother, Wayne and Kathy McEntire of Fouke, AR; one brother, Chris McEntire of Omaha; his grandparents, Geraldine and Robert E. ANGELEAN MITCHELL, 57, of Omaha, Texas, died Thursday, September 21, 1995, in a Mount Pleasant, TX, hospital.  Mrs. Mitchell was born June 19, 1938, in Omaha.  She was a homemaker and member of Brown Temple Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by one son, Graylin Mitchell.  Survivors include one daughter, Cynthia Mitchell; two sisters, Mary Witson and Faye Johnson of Dallas, Texas; one aunt, Luda Williams of Fort Worth, Texas; a special niece, Betty Taylor of Dallas; and a number of nieces and nephews.  Services were 11 am, Monday, September 25, 1995 at the Mount Zion CME Church with the Rev. Neal Thornburgh officiating.  Burial was in the Omaha Cemetery.  Mr. Newell was born Nov. 17, 1921, in Bridger, MT.  He was a veteran of World War II, a Pearl Harbor survivor on the battleship Tennessee, and a Purple Heart recipient.  He had been in the Merchant Marines and was a self-employed businessman.  He was a former resident of Rye, TX.  Survivors include his wife, Josephine Newell of Omaha; two sons, Tracy Newell of Alvin and Terry Newell of Humble; two daughters, Lynda Schley of Portland, OR; one stepson, Johnny Mullen of Nigrada, MT; three stepdaughters, Toni Bronson of Marion, MT, and Karen Cook and Cathy Zinante, both of Omaha; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step-brothers, Lyle Spooner of Nine Mile, MT, and Orville Spooner of Clinton, MT; and one stepsister, Betty Jacquette-Kalispell of MT.  Pallbearers were Barry Endsley, Johnny Joyner, Luther Marshall, Scottie Lanier, Michael Clair, and D. Parker, Emery Spear Emery Parker, 86, of Omaha, died Wednesday, March 15, 1995  in Omaha.  Services were at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 17 at the First Baptist Church of Omaha, with the Rev. SOSBEE, CLIFTON V                                                                 November 18, 1920 � November 6, 1995 

CLIFTON V SOSBEE, 67, of Lawton, OK, died November 6, 1995, at a Lawton hospital, and funeral services were conducted under the direction of Huddleston Funeral Home of Lawon.  Mr. Sosbee was born November 18, 1920, in Daingerfield to Rienzi Sosbee and Lura Martha Hammonds Mills.  He grew up in the Mt. Moriah community and attended school at Omaha.  He was a US Army veteran of WWII, attaining the rank of sergeant.  He was also a US Air Force veteran, serving in the Korean conflict and being promoted to staff sergeant.  He had worked as a professional photographer at Meisel Studios in Dallas for many years and developed and processed the first moon shot films from the Apollo spacecraft landing, which included the first footprint found on the moon.  He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.  After his retirement, he moved his family and settled in the Hubbard Chapel community in Bowie County where children of the family completed school at DeKalb.  Mr. Sosbee was preceded in death by his parents, Reinzi Sosbee of Dallas, and Lura Brannon of Omaha; and his brother, James Curry Mills of Omaha.  Survivors include one daughter, Denese Sosbee, formerly of DeKalb; five sons, Duane Sosbee of Huntsville, Don Sosbee of Poway, CA, Dean Sosbee of Seagoville, Dale Sosbee of Harker Heights, and Davis Sosbee of Tampa, FL; two sisters, Mildred Mills Grau and Ethel Maxine Mills Smith of Bryan; one brother, Thomas Millard Brannon of San Antonio; three nieces and four nephews, including Jerry Smith of Leaday.

Talley, 82 of Omaha, died Saturday, September 16, 1995.  Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 18 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Naples, with the Rev. TINDALL, HATTLEY C.                                                                  January 7, 1910 � November 23, 1995

H. C. Tindall, 85, of Omaha, died Thursday, November 23, at the Elmwood Nursing Home in Omaha.  Funeral services were at 2 pm, Sunday, November 26, at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Naples, with the Rev. Neal Thornburgh officiating.  Burial was in the Omaha Cemetery.  Mr. Tindall was a member of the First Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, and a member of the OSO Naval Lodge #1282, the David Elliott Masonic Lodge of Omaha, the York Rite Commandery #57, and a member of the Al Amin Shrine.  He was a retired engineer and a past president of the Texas Hospital Engineers� Association.  He was chief engineer at Spohn Hospital in Corpus Christi from 1953 to 1980, and he was a trustee of the Texas State Technical Institute at Waco.  Survivors include his wife, Daisy Lee Davis Tindall of Omaha; two sons, Richard A. Tindall of Friendswood, and Harry L. Tindall of Houston; and four grandchildren, Richard Keith Tindall of Austin, Geneva Gail Chojnacki of College Station, Jennifer L. Tindall of Washington, D.C., and Margaret K. Tindall of Houston.  (C Row 28)

Trumble, Jenoma Irene

TRUMBLE, JENOMA IRENE                                                         December 3, 1914 � December 30, 1995

Jenoma Irene Brunette Trumble, 81, of Daingerfield, died Saturday, December 30, at Windsor Place Nursing Home in Daingerfield.  Funeral services were at 2 pm, Monday, January 1, at the Rocky Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Odom and Dr. Neal Clark officiating.  Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery near Naples.  Mrs. Trumble was born December 3, 1914, in Morris County, was a member of the Rocky Branch Baptist Church and was a former resident of Naples.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Vesta Trumble, a son, Vesta David Trumble, and a daughter, Nancy Trumble Boozer.  Survivors include one son, Jerry Trumble of Texarkana; one daughter Ramona Collins of Daingerfield; a brother, Morris Brunette of Odessa; two sisters, Allie Joyner of Daingerfield, and Jewel Golden of Odessa; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.  (NW Row 16)

TURNER, VICKI S VISSERING                                                      December 18, 1951 � October 22, 1995

VICKI SUSAN VISSERING TURNER, 43, of Grapevine, TX., died Sunday, October 22, 1995 as the result of an automobile accident.  Memorial services are pending with Alexander Funeral Home of Naples.  Mrs. Turner was born December 18, 1951 in Naples, and was a member of the 1970 graduating class of Pewitt High School.  She was employed with GTE in Irving, and was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Vissering, and a brother, Jack Vissering.  Survivors include four stepchildren, Vicki, Valerie, Michael and Steven Turner; her father and stepmother, Wes and Ruth Vissering of Naples; a sister, Rebecca Burke of Mt. Pleasant; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Westbrook, Joseph W.

WESTBROOK, JOSEPH W.                                                               May 27, 1907 � August 29, 1995

Funeral services for Joseph W. West rook, 88, of Omaha, were at 2 pm, Friday, September 1, 1995, at the First United Methodist Church in Omaha, with the Rev. Janet Blackburn and the Rev. Suzanne Orman officiating.  Burial was in the Omaha Cemetery.  Mr. Westbrook died Tuesday, August 29, 1995, at Presbyterian Hospital in Greenville, Texas.  He was born in Omaha, Texas, May 27, 1907, and was the son of John W. and Eula Stevens Westbrook.  He married Claudia Ardell Henry in Galveston on June 21, 1941.  Mr. Westbrook was chief engineer at the Veterans Administration Hospital at Temple, and was a retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel, serving during World War II.  He was a Mason and member of the First United Methodist Church of Omaha. Survivors include his wife, Claudia; a daughter, Carolyn Moore and husband, George Moore; three grandsons, Bradley Moore and wife Jamie, and Wesley Moore, all of Wolfe City, and Stanley Moore and wife Susan of Leesburg; and one brother, Home Westbrook and wife Frances of Lometa, Texas.  Serving as pallbearers were Bradley Moore, Stanley Moore, Wesley Moore, Kenneth Schroeder, Joseph Schroeder and Ray Thigpen.  Honorary pallbearers were Bill Atkinson, John Kirk, Thomas Thigpen, Sarge Glover and Neil Ferrell.  (I Row 1).

Wommack, Q. B.

WOMMACK, Q. B.                                                                               April 17, 1925 � June 1, 1995

Q. B. WOMMACK, 70, of Naples, died Thursday, June 1, at his home following a lengthy illness.  Funeral services were Saturday, June 3, 1995, at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Naples, with the Rev. James Day and the Rev. Bill Harty officiating.  Burial was in the Naples Cemetery (A Row 7).  Mr. Wommack was born April 17, 1925, in Marietta.  He owned and operated Wommack Oil Company at Naples, with his son, Steve.  He was a graduate of Naples High School and Texas A&M University.  He served in the Army Air Force during World War II as an aviator, was a member of the Marietta Masonic Lodge, and was a member of the Oakridge Baptist Church at Marietta.  Mr. Wommack was a member of the Naples City Council for the past 25 years and had served as mayor pro-tem during a number of those years.  He was a lifetime resident of the Naples and Marietta area.  Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Nance Wommack of Naples; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Beth Wommack of Naples; one grand-daughter Kaitlyn Wommack of Naples, two sisters, Mary Rogers and Punch Leeves, both of Naples; a brother, James Wommack of Douglassville; and a number of nieces and nephews.  Serving as pallbearers were his nephews, Buddy Rogers, David Franklin Leeves, Jim Wommack, Bob Wommack, Sim Burgess and Will Burgess.  Honorary pallbearers were Jim Berry, Doug Loffer, Willie James Palmore, John Miles and John Taylor, present and former City of Naples officials. WORTHAM, ZELMA K                                                                    May 7, 1916 � October 21, 1995

ZELMA K. WORTHAM, 79, of Naples, died Saturday, October 21, 1995.  A memorial service will be conducted at 2 pm, Sunday, November 5, at the Naples Cemetery.  Mrs. Wortham was born May 7, 1916.  She was a Baptist.  Survivors include her husband, Roy Wortham, Sr., of Naples; one son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Earlene Wortham of Naples; one brother, Jim Kind of Ruston, LA; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.  (Location Unknown)
