BRANCH, WOODROW W.                                                                           February 1, 1913 � September 1, 1990

Services for Woodrow W. �Woody� Branch, 77, of Longview will be 10 am Tuesday in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rodney Richey, Rev. Nolan Richey, and Dr. Laney Johnson officiating.  Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Longview, TX.  A native of Greenville, TX, he was born Feb. 1, 1913.  He lived in Longview since 1951, coming from Omaha.  He was a warehouse foreman for Western Electric for 23 years before his retirement, and was a World War II Marine veteran.  He was a member of Mobberly Avenue Baptist Church and the David Elliott Masonic Lodge in Omaha.  Survivors include his wife, Maggie Lee; daughters, Mary Jon Rawls of Longview, Wanda Spoonmore of Dallas; sisters, Dorothy Rogers of Dallas, and Eddie Mearle Klinkey of Longview; grandchildren, Diana Rider of Slidell, LA, Mike McCollum of Longview, Carol Garland of Plano, Chris Rawls of Longview; and three great-grandsons. 

HAMPTON, DWAINE                                                                                 December 2, 1941 - 10 October 1990

Dwaine Hampton, 48, of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, October 10, 1990 at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.  Services were at 3:30 p.m. Friday, October 12 at Bates-Cooper-Weems Funeral Home Chapel with Rodney Richey and Nolan Richey (first cousins of Dwaine) officiating.  Burial was in the Concord Cemetery near Omaha.  Mr. Hampton was born December 2, 1941 in Lufkin and was affiliated with the Baptist denomination.  He was employed by Titus County Memorial Hospital in maintenance.  Survivors include his wife Glenda Hampton of Mt. Pleasant; a son and daughter-in-law Randy and Lisa Hampton of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter Sharla Hampton of Mt. Pleasant; his parents Alvin and Floriene Hampton of Omaha, his father and mother-in-law Johnie and Jeffie Mosier of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters in law Cathy Chestnut and Martha Jane Hahn both of Mt. SMITH, OLA MAE                                                                                        January 1, 1910 - January 18, 1990

Ola Mae Smith, 80, of the Rocky Branch community died Thursday January 18 at David Granberry Memorial Hospital in Naples.  Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday January 20 at the Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bob Oden and the Rev. Glenn Griffith officiating.  Burial was in the Concord Cemetery near Omaha with Morris Prestridge, Wes Vissering, Bentley Wright, Danny Munkres, John Betts and Jef Seaton serving as pallbearers.  Mrs. Smith was born January 1, 1910 at Simms and lived most of her life in Morris County.  She was a member of the Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church.  Survivors include her husband Olen Smith of Rocky Branch, one son Billy Joe Smith of Omaha; a brother J. L. Johnson of Tyler; two sisters Mrs. T. E. Burkhalter of Simms and Velma Dean Terrell of Hooks; four grandchildren Joe Lynne Griffin of Mt. Pleasant, Jackie Smith and Barry Smith both of Omaha and Tina Cobb of Naples and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was married to Olen Lee Smith (b. 30 September 1907, d. 30 April 1995). J. L. Vickers, 70, of Daingerfield, died Tuesday, December 11, 1990 at a Mt. Pleasant Hospital.  Services were at 2:30 pm. Friday, December 14, at the Concord Baptist Church, near Omaha, with the Rev. Glenn Griffith and the Rev. Glen Moore officiating.  Burial was in the Concord Cemetery.  Mr. Vickers was born August 7, 1920, in Maud.  He was a retired policeman with the Dallas Police Department where he served 22 years.  He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a Sgt. in the Air Force, and was a member of the Concord Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge.  After retiring from the Dallas police department in August of 1970, Mr. Vickers moved his family back to Omaha.  He worked as Morris County service officer from 1984 until last September.  Survivors include his wife Faye Vickers of Daingerfield, one son, Doyle Vickers of Sioux City, Iowa; two daughters, Wanda Jackson of Rowlett, TX and Nell Dozier of Arlington; one sister Beulah Lee Wright of Omaha; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews. (NW Row 37)
