Ashley, infant daughter of Jackie and Benjie Ashley of Omaha was born
and died Tuesday, April 4, 1989 at Titus County Memorial Hospital in Mt.
Pleasant. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Monday at the Concord
Cemetery near Omaha with the Rev. Andy Andrews and the Rev. Clifford
Longino officiating. Survivors include her parents Jackie and Benjie
Ashley of Omaha; maternal grandparents Jack and Sharon Frazier of Mt.
Vernon and Ronald and Juanita Ryan of Longview; her paternal grandmother
Pearl Ashley of Omaha; her maternal great-grandparents Jack and Jennie
Martin of Winnsboro and her paternal great-grandparents Frank

Clayton, 91, of Omaha, died Saturday, July 15, at her home.
Services were at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 16, at the Concord Baptist
Church near Omaha, with the Rev. Glenn Griffith and the Rev. Michael
Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Concord Cemetery. Mrs.
Clayton was born February 23, 1898 and was a member of the Concord
Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Eva Allen and
Reba Allen, both of Texarkana and Marilyn Zermeno of Los Angeles,
CA; and five sisters, Mary Gibson, Clyde Clayton, Ann Gilstrap and
Bobbie Lee Vickers, all of Omaha and Montie Simpson of Naples. |

Tab Hicks, 33,
of Kilgore, died Sunday, September 17, 1989 at his home. Funeral
services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 20 at the Hanner Funeral
Home Chapel in Naples with the Rev. Bill Harty officiating. Burial was
in the Concord Cemetery near Omaha. Mr. Hicks was employed with R & B
Business Machines and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Kellie Hicks, of Kilgore; four sons Donovan,
Ian, Brendon and Cason, all of Kilgore; his father and stepmother Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Hicks of Naples; three brothers, Ronnie and Robin of
Naples and Roger of Omaha; two stepbrothers, Harvey Booth of Terrell,
and Gary Ragsdale of Balch Springs; three sisters, Ramona Hendrick and
LeeAnn Fondren, both of Corpus Christi and Tina Daniels of Venus, TX;
and three stepsisters Judy Tollison of Quinlan, Jeanette Leyhe of

Robert Lee Johnson, 63, of Omaha, died Thursday,
July 2, 1998, in Omaha. Funeral services were at 1 pm, Tuesday, July 7,
at Roberson Temple in Omaha, with the Rev. Fred Hargrove officiating.
Burial was in Bellheaven Cemetery at Omaha, under the direction of
Reeder-Davis Funeral Home Inc. Mr. Johnson was born November 21, 1934,
in Morris County. He was a 1996 retiree of Lone Star Steel Company, and
a farmer. Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Johnson of Omaha; sons,
Delwyn, Anthony and LaVell, all of Omaha, Rodney of Mt. Pleasant, and
Fred of Dallas; daughters, Shenneka Johnson and Sheila Justice, both of
Dallas, Josephine Johnson, of Longview and Vivian Johnson of Naples;
brothers, Harold Brown and Jimmy Lee Brown, both of Omaha, J. D. Johnson
of Longview, Thomas Johnson and Ed Brown, both of McKinney, and Samuel
Houser of Plano; sisters, Jesse Robinson of Naples, Gladys Garrison,
Alice Douglas, Dudley Taylor and Mary Glaster, all of Dallas, Georgia
Berry of Longview, Palmarie Lewis of Atlanta, and Eddie Louise Brown of
Omaha; his mother, Irene Johnson of Omaha; nine grandchildren; and one

Funeral
services for Jake Kindsfather, Sr. 69, of Omaha, were at 2 pm March 26
at the Concord Baptist Church of Omaha with the Rev. Mike Thompson and
the Rev. Clifford Longino officiating. Burial was in the Concord
Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service. Mr. Kindsfather
died Thursday, March 23, 1989. He was born February 28, 1920 in Tyler
and was a retired Air Force Senior Master Sergeant with 22 years of
service, and was the first enlisted man to be awarded the Missile Badge.
He had lived in Florida for 25 years where he had a career in
investments and mutual funds. He moved to Omaha in 1979. He was a
member of the First Baptist Church of Tyler and a Mason. Survivors
include his wife Mildred D. Kindsfather of Omaha; one son Jake
Kindsfather, Jr. of Social Circle, GA; two daughters Janice Kay
Stekelenbur of Pine Mountain, GA; and Delura Ann Kindsfather of Dayton,

1956 - November 10, 1989 Michael L. Koonce, 33, of Houston, died Friday, November 10, 1989 in a
Houston hospital following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were at 1
pm Monday, November 13, at St. Anthony�s in Bryan. He was a credit
analyst for Dunn & Bradstreet in Houston and was a professional
freelance photographer. He served with the US Navy and was a member of
the Baptist Faith Church. Survivors include his wife, Geri Lynn Koonce
of Houston; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Frank Koonce of Naples; his mother
and father-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Jack Failla of Bryan; four brothers:
Kenneth Koonce of the US Navy in San Diego, James Koonce of the US Army
in Lacey WA, Richard Koonce of Baton Rouge, LA and Terry Koonce of

Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Concord Cemetery near Omaha.
Mrs. Laney was born June 1, 1911 near Gilmer. She was a member of the
Concord Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Bob Laney of
Omaha; two sons, Robert Laney and James Laney, both of Cookville; one
daughter Louise Wells of Omaha; one sister Myrtle Harrod of Omaha; two
brothers, Alonzo Davis of Omaha and Roscoe Davis of Ore City; four

Funeral Home. Services will be 2 pm Thursday at Our Lady of Fatima
Catholic Church with the Rev. Jack Brockman and Rev. Tony Pondant
officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of the Pines Cemetery. Mrs.
McKay died Sunday at a Tyler hospital. She was born April 12, 1925, in
Sharon, PA, and had lived in Daingerfield for 36 years. She was a
member of the Our lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Survivors include her
husband, Archie �Ozzie�; daughters, and sons-in-law, Melanie and Robert
Pritchett and Crystal and Hollis Hughes, all of Midlothian, and Pamela
and Dan Briggs of Longview; sisters, Betty Grimm of Sharon and Estell
Wimer of Independence, MO; two grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Randy. (Sec A

one sister Veata Padgett of Hinton, OK; three grand-children; and

born November 17, 1914 at Winnsboro. She was a Baptist and a former
resident of Dallas. Survivors include two sons Leon David of Dallas and

the Concord Cemetery. Mrs. Sullivan was born Sept 23, 1939 at
Daingerfield. She was a member of the Rocky Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Martin L Sullivan of Colorado Springs, CO;
one son Marty W. Sullivan of Ft. Gordon, GA; one daughter Judy C. Mower
of Colorado Springs; three brothers James W. Collins, Jr. of Arlington
and Harold Collins of Longview; five sisters Dorothy M. Hicks of Naples,
Beatrice Woods of Arlington, Joyce Messerly of Garland, Gay Fliner of
Royce City and Kay Stansell of Shreveport, LA and two grandchildren.
