Fronie Boozer,
88 of Omaha, died Tuesday of last week in a Naples hospital of natural
causes. Services were at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Concord Baptist Church,
with the Rev. Glenn Griffith and the Rev. Clifford Longino
officiating. Burial was in the concord Cemetery. Ms. Boozer was born
August 10, 1896 at Omaha. She was a member of the Concord Baptist
Church; sister of Howard, Allen, Dora Boozer, Irene Morris & Maggie Lee

Lura D. Carpenter, 71,
of Daingerfield, Texas, died Tuesday in a local hospital of natural
causes. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home
Chapel with Tommy Oglesby officiating Burial will be in Concord
Cemetery, Omaha, Morris Co., Texas. Mrs. Carpenter was born April 2,
1913, in Bowie County, Texas. Survivors include her mother, Nora Lee
Talley of Phoenix, Arizone; six sons, C. L. Carpenter and Bill
Carpenter, both of Daingerfield, Jay Carpenter of Omaha, Lloyd Carpenter
of Lone Star, Texas, Mack Carpenter of Pittsburg, Texas, and Wayne
Carpenter of Mesa, Arizona; two daughters, Janette McBee of Pittsburg
and Sandy Gibson of Daingerfield; one sister, Willie Mae Keith of
Phoenix, Arizona; four brothers, Oscar Talley of Phoenix, J. W. Talley
of San Diego, California, Gene Talley of Ajo, Arizona, Jack Talley of
Daingerfield; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. (NE Row

Luther Morris 82, of Omaha, died
Wednesday of last week at the David Granberry Memorial Hospital in
Naples. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Friday at Concord Baptist
Church near Omaha with the Rev. Glenn Griffith officiating. Burial was
in the Concord Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service of
Naples. Mr. Morris was born April 9, 1902, and was a retired employee
of Lone Star Steel Company. He was a long time Omaha resident and was
a member of the Concord Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife
Demmie Parker Morris, b. 7 September 1906, d. 24 May 1994, of Omaha ;
two sons, Jack Morris of Omaha and Jerry Morris of Naples; brothers ,
Loven A. Morris of Omaha, Arthur Morris, sisters Mrs. Pearl Fields of
Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Hettie Stevens; five grandchildren Jackie Ray & Dee
Ann Morris; Milton, Michael and Mona; and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were W. L. (Doc) James, Richard Wright, Thomas Thigpen, Glen
Wright, Douglas James and Homer Munkres. |

Morris S.
Stevens, 73, of Route 1, Mount Pleasant, born August 17, 1910 in Morris
County, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 1984 at Wadley Hospital
in Texarkana. Mr. Stevens is survived by his wife, Oma, of Mount
Pleasant and one sister, Mrs. Claudeen Cook of Mount Pleasant. He was a
member of East New Hope Baptist Church. Services have been set for 3
p.m. Tuesday at the East New Hope Baptist Church with interment in
Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m.

Robert W.
Wallace, 77, of Omaha, died Monday at his home after a sudden illness.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Concord Baptist Church
near Omaha, with the Rev. Glen Griffith officiating. Burial was in the
Concord Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service of
Naples. Mr. Wallace was born May 4, 1907 at Cookville. He was a
retired farmer, a former resident of DeKalb and a member of the Concord
Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Effie Parker Wallace of
Omaha; three daughters, Kathleen McMillan and Mary Clea Morris both of
DeKalb and Joyce Ann Murphy of Ft. Worth; one brother, Harold Wallace of
Omaha; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. (M Effie Parker
