RICHARDS, ALICE JOSEPHINE

Funeral
services for Mrs. Alice Josephine Richards, 58 year old Omaha resident,
were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church at Omaha. The
Rev. Clifford Longino and the Rev. William Commer officiated. Burial
was in the Concord Cemetery. Mrs. Richards, a nurse and member of the
Omaha Baptist Church, died Thursday morning in a Texarkana hospital.
She is survived by her husband B. L. Richards, Sr.; three sons B. L.
Richards, Jr., Bobby Richards and Anthony Richards, all of Omaha; her
parents Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Carson of Omaha; five sisters Mrs. Claudine
Lancaster of Gilmer, Mrs. Arlis Shelton of Hughes Springs, Mrs. Mary
Giroir of Longview and Mrs. Velma Smith and Mrs. Syble DeVore of Omaha;
six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. (Row 35 NE) |

J. L. (Buck)
Vickers, of Omaha, died last Friday in the hospital here following a
heart attack earlier at his home. He was 72 years of age, and a life
long resident of Omaha. Survivors include his wife, one son J. L.
Vickers, Jr. of Dallas; a daughter Mrs. Beulah Lee Wright of Omaha, a
brother B. C. Vickers of Omaha and sister, Mrs. Troy Boozer of Omaha;
four grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services
were held Saturday in the First Methodist Church of Omaha with the Rev.
Clifford Longino officiating. Burial was in the Concord Cemetery under
the direction of the Hanner Funeral Home. (NE Row 19) |
