Boozer, Ivy Paul

BOOZER, IVY PAUL                                                                                     June 24, 1905 - August 28, 1938

Paul Boozer, 33, formerly of Omaha passed away early - morning at an El Paso hospital after a brief illness of pneumonia, which followed several months of failing health. The deceased, son of Lula & W. H. Boozer, who was reared in the Concord community, is well known by a host of friends who learned of his death. He was married to Miss Lorena Johnson in 1926 and in 19�moved to El Paso where he was an employee of the El Paso Electric Company until the time of his death. Surviving are the wife and daughter Barbara Ann; Mr. & Mrs. W. H. Boozer; brothers Allen and Clayton and a host of other relatives. The body arrived in Omaha at o�clock Tuesday night by the Cotton Belt railroad and conveyed to the home of his parents and remained until 3 o�clock Wednesday when funeral services were conducted at the Concord Church with � S. Wiley, minister of the Church of Christ of Mt. Pleasant assisted by Rev. a. A. J. Finley of Omaha. Burial was made in the Concord Cemetery beneath a mound of beautiful flowers.  (Row 31 SEC)

Minister of Morris County Buried at Concord Saturday

Rev. D. J. Talley Was Well Known In This County

Funeral services were held at Concord at 4:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon for Rev. D. J. Talley, prominent Baptist minister of Morris County, who died at his home southeast of Cookville Friday. 

Rev. Talley was 69 years of age, and had resided in that section for over 40 years.  He had suffered an illness of several months prior to his death.  Rev. Talley leaves a host of relatives and friends in Morris and Titus Counties, who will regret to hear of his death. 

Those who attended the family from Mt. Pleasant were Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Riddle, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Garrett, Mr. and Mrs. D A. Talley, Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Talley and family and H. H. Talley.

Among the many of out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral of D. J. Talley at Concord Saturday afternoon, were Mr. and Mrs. Homer Guess and children, Dorothy, Virginia, Nannie and Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Garrett and son, William, Mr. and Mrs. Grady Talley and son Weldon, Henry Talley, and Mr. and Mrs. Dock Talley, all of Mt. Pleasant;  Mr. and Mrs. Bowen Ramage and son, Billie Joe, and Mrs. Glass of Shreveport, La; Mrs. Willie Walker, Talco; R. W. Galloway and Leland Townes of Foss, Okla; Mrs. Ida Lilley and children, Earl and Miss Johnnie Lee Taylor of Cookville.
