TALLEY, VIOLA EMELINE
November 7, 1907 December 12, 1928
Death of Miss Viola Talley
Miss
Viola, 21 year old daughter of D. J. Talley and wife, died at the family
home five miles west of Omaha on the 12th of December of appendicitis a
short while after undergoing an operation.
She was
an active, promising young lady; had finished her education in Omaha and
Mt. Pleasant high schools, and was teaching this year at Lone Star where
she had a good school and lots of friends who will miss her work for the
school and the upbuilding of the community.
Her
remains were laid away in Concord cemetery on the 13th after funeral
services by Elder W. B. Robertson. She leaves a sorrowing father and
mother; several brothers, and many near relatives to mourn her going
away, and the Breeze joins with a host of friends in sorrow and sympathy
for the bereaved ones in these sad, trying hours. (SE Row 18)
