Currey, Mamie Robinson

CURREY, MAMIE ROBINSON                                                                  October 11, 1875 September 11, 1910

Obituary -- The Omaha Breeze, Sept. 28, 1910

Sister MAMIE  ROBINSON CURREY was born in Alabama October 11, 1875, was married to Brother N. R. Currey in September 1893; joined the Missionary Baptist church in 1892, and departed this life September 11, 1910 leaving six children and her husband to mourn her loss. Sister Currey had suffered patiently since the 29th of June until the above named date.  All was done by her faithful and efficient physicians, neighbors, relatives;  her faithful husband and sweet children; but alas!  The fiat had gone forth from Him whose summons must be obeyed and the result came. She will be missed so much at their home; in her neighborhood; and in her church.  So sad indeed. Yet we want to live such lives as that we will be missed when we are gone--yes missed in the right way as she is. May the rich blessings of Jesus ever be with all her loved ones is our prayer. Another good member, neighbor, child, mother and wife has gone from us, so let us close up ranks and fight on until our change comes. After funeral services her remains were laid away to rest in the Omaha cemetery to await the last call.  Lovingly her Pastor C. W. SMITH   (A Row 11)
