Snow Hill Cemetery

Daingerfield

LOCATION:  West of Daingerfield on Hwy 49 for 6.6 miles to the cemetery sign.  Turn left on CR 1232 for .2 mile.  The cemetery is on the right.

 

Cemetery was read Oct 1, 1997 by Irene Powell, Kathryn McAlexander, Melba Tims, Charles Steger and John Livingston starting in northwest corner.  Updated May 1999.

 

Cemetery is known to be predominantly white.

UNKNOWN LOCATION*   From N E TX Cemetery Vol II, by John Frazier, the following are buried here.  Information furnished by Mr. James Howell.  Information was merged from Traylor Russell’s book, SNOW HILL CEMETERY 1979 with the MORRIS COUNTY CEMETERY BOOK – SOUTHERN SECTION of 1999 which was compiled by the Cass County Genealogical Society in cooperation with the Morris County Historical Commission.  Additional  information from obituaries was added.  In the 1979 listing it was noted that there were 83 graves in the Snow Hill Cemetery with markers that contain no names or dates.
