Services for Carlotta Barajas, 76, formerly of Naples, were December 21, 2007, at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Monsignow Larry Pichard and the Rev. Roy Ford officiating.  Ms. Barajas

was born September 6, 1931, in Naples.  She died December 17, 2007, in Frisco, Texas.  She was a nanny a member of Catholic Cathedral of the Virgin of Guadalupe.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Felipe and Cleta Barajas, Sr.; son, Kerry Barajas; and four brothers, Pete, Johnny, Savio, and Tirso Barajas.  Survivors include two sons, Doran Barron of Richardson, and Randall Barron of Celina; a daughter, Darice Barron Nations of Washington, AR; four brothers, Willie Barajas of Cedar Hill, TX, Henry Barajas of Mooringsport, LA, Andres Barajas of Ennis, and Felipe Barajas, Jr. of  Irvin; three sisters Rita Ricco of Chattanooga, TN, Juanita Barajas of Dallas, and Natalia Barajas of Pleasant Grove; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  Burial was in Naples Cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home.  (A Row 22)

JOHNNY BARAJAS, 52, of Dallas, died Monday, May 29, 1995, at Methodist Hospital in Dallas.  Services were at 1 pm Wednesday, at Alexander Chapel in Naples, with Father Jerry Haby officiating.  Burial was in the Naples Cemetery.  Mr. Barajas was a former sheet metal worker, a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, and a former resident of Bowie County.  Survivors include his wife, Josephine Barajas of Dallas; two sons, Johnny Barajas, Jr. and Edward Barajas, both of Dallas; two daughters, Debbie Barajas and Dora Lynn Barajas, both of Allen, Texas; six brothers, Tirso Barajas of Cleburne, Pete Barajas of Kileen, Willie Barajas of Cedar Hill, Texas, Henry Barajas of Shreveport, and Andres Barajas of Ennis; four sisters, Rita Rico of Chattanooga, TN, and Carlotta Barajas, Juanita Barajas and Natalia Fuentes, all of Dallas; and one grandson.  (A Row 22)

 

BEAUCHAMP, THELMA STRICKLAND      May 26, 1908 � October 1, 1997

Thelma Strickland Beauchamp, 89, of Naples, died Wednesday, October 1, 1997, at Redbud Retreat Nursing home in Naples.  Graveside services, under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Naples, were at 2 pm, Friday, October 3, at the Naples Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Harty officiating.  Mrs. Beauchamp was born May 26, 1908, in Naples, and was a lifetime resident of Naples.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  Survivors include a daughter  and son-in-law, Martha and Joe Starrett of Daingerfield; two sisters, Mildred Evans and Ceil Porter Atterbury, both of Longview; and a granddaughter and husband, Danna and Brent Nelson of Tyler.  (A Row 22)

 

BOOZER, CLARENCE ED (BABE) December 23, 1912 � September 17, 1983

CLARENCE EDWARD (BABE) BOOZER (son of Marcus Lafayette & Paralee Elizabeth (Lee) Tigert Boozer was born December 23, 1912, Omaha, Morris CO, TX and died September 17, 1983 in Tyler, TX hospital.  Lifetime resident of Omaha and Naples, TX.  Funeral services were at 2: PM Sunday at the First Baptist Church of Omaha, with the Rev. Clifford Longino, the Rev. Wayne Cannon officiating.  Burial was in the Naples Cemetery.  He was retired from Gulf Oil Company as the Commodore Chief Engineer of the Gulf Fleet and a Lieutenant Commander in the Maritime Services during World War II.  Serving as pallbearers were Louis Boozer, Buddy Boozer, Randall Ranes, John Whatley, Glenn Gray and Mayburn Gray. BOSTICK, J. D.                                       January 14, 1915 � December 14, 1996

J. D. Bostick, 81, of Naples, died Saturday, December 14, 1996, at a VA hospital in Shreveport.  Graveside services were at 1 pm, Tuesday, December 17, at the Naples Cemetery, with the Rev. Trey Roberson officiating.  Services were under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Naples.  Mr. Bostick was born January 14, 1915.  He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Masonic Lodge, a retired mechanic and a longtime resident of Naples.  Survivors include three sisters, Ethel Vann of Alvin, TX, Florence Heusel of Howard, CO, and Dorothy Vanarsdale of Kifer, OK; and a number of nieces and nephews. BRADSHAW, LEIGH STIVER                            May 18, 1968 � July 31, 1996

Leigh Bradshaw, 28, of Omaha, died Wednesday, July 31, 1996, at Titus Regional Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  Funeral services were at 11 am, Saturday, August 3, at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Naples, with the Rev. Bill Harty and the Rev. Ken Saunier officiating.  Burial was in the Naples Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers were Dana Burris, Trisha Didway, Leanne Didway, Kristy Grider, Susan Ross and Julie Martin.  Mrs. Bradshaw was born May 18, 1968, in Niskayuna, NY.  She was a longtime resident of Morris County.  Survivors include her husband, Lee Bradshaw of Omaha; one son, James Stiver of Omaha; one daughter, Lisa Ann Stiver of Omaha; her parents, Jim and Frdie Woolery of Palm Desert, CA; and two brothers, Kevin Woolery and John Woolery, both of San Francisco.  (A Row 16)

ERNESTINE SPENCE BURKE, 85, of Dallas, died Friday, March 1, 1996.  Funeral services were at 10:30 am, Monday, March 4, at the Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home Chapel in Dallas with Dr. Dennis Hochgraber officiating.  Interment was at 3 pm, in the Old Naples Cemetery at Naples.  Mrs. Burke was retired from the US Government General Services Administration.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Burke, and is survived by an extended family across Texas. (A Row 14)

 

CAGLE, BRENDA LEA                                      July 1, 1953 � October 23, 2004

Services for Mrs. Brenda Lea Cagle, 51, of Naples, were Tuesday, October 26, 2004, at Community Christian Church with the Rev. Doug Freeman officiating.  Mrs. Cagle was born July 1, 1953, in Pittsburg.  She died Saturday, October 23, 2004, in Mt. Pleasant.  Survivors include her husband, JuaDon Cagle of Naples; two sisters, Shirlee Stone of Mt. Pleasant and Patsy Reeves of Rawles; three sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Blythe Bean and David and Ana Bean, all of Longview and Cody and Leslie Cagle of Lufkin; three grandchildren, Shelbie Lynn Bean, Cheyenne Bean and Cory Cagle.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Erven Duesterhoft and Alice Matthews.  (Location Unknown)

 

CARLTON, FRANCES COLLINS                         July 16, 1914 � July 21, 2001

Services for Mrs. Frances Carlton, 97, of Naples were Tuesday, July 24, 2001 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Perkins officiating.  Mrs. Carlton was born July 16, 1914 in Naples.  She died Saturday, July 21, 2001 in Mt. Pleasant.  She was a retired employee of Day & Zimmerman, member of the First Baptist Church and a lifetime resident of Naples.  Survivors include three grandchildren, Bruce Lancaster of Baltimore, MD, Andrea Lancaster of Houston and Michael Lancaster of Baytown; and two great-grandchildren, Michelle and Alex Lancaster of Baytown.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude, and her children, Claudette and Tommy.  Interment was at Naples Cemetery.  (Sec A Row 9)

 

COLE, SANDRA FAYE PHILLEY             September 21, 1952 � Nov 12, 2004

Memorial services for Mrs. Sandra Faye Philley Cole, 52, of Naples, were Sunday, November 14, 2004, at her home with the Rev. Bryan Peck officiating.  Mrs. Cole was born September 21, 1952, in Oak Grove, LA.  She died Friday, November 12, 2004, at her home.  Survivors include her husband, David Cole; one son, William Cole of Naples, both of Naples; her father, William Loyd Philley of Baton Rouge; one sister and brother-in-law, Earlene and Roy Wortham of Naples; two brothers and sister-in-law, Calvin and Janeen Philley and Johnny Philley, all of Baton Rouge; and a number of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Fannie Maxine Philley.  (Location Unknown)

 

FRANKLIN, LEE ROY                          October 14, 1922 � June 10, 1996

Lee Roy Franklin, 73, of Naples, died Monday, June 10, at the Titus Regional Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant, following a lengthy illness.  Funeral services were at 6:30 pm, Thursday, June 13, at the First Baptist Church in Naples, with the Rev. Trey Roberson, the Rev. Earl Taylor, the Rev. Bob Pearce and the Rev. Tommy Weems officiating.  Burial was in the Naples Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Naples.  Born October 14, 1922 in Naples, Mr. Franklin was a retired employee of Lone Star Steel Company, a member of the First Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II, a member of the Belden Masonic Lodge, a member of the University of Texas Alumni Association, and a lifetime resident of Naples.  Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Franklin of Naples; two sons, Ronald Lee Franklin of Dallas, and Thomas Arden Franklin of Los Angeles, CA; one sister, Gwen Brock of Naples; four nieces; one nephew; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.  Serving as pallbearers were Bill Henderson, Morgan Hampton, Richard Towler, Jack Coker, Tommy Coker and Dr. James S. FLORENCE SCAFF GATES, 81, of Naples, died Sunday, June 4, 1995, at her home.  Services were at 11 am, Wednesday, at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bob Sinclair officiating.  Burial was in the Naples Cemetery.  Mrs. Gates was born May 1, 1914, in Terrell, TX.  She was a member of the Methodist Church, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a former resident of Jasper, TX.  Survivors include one daughter, Jeannette Redwine of Chandler, AZ; one son, Frederick Charles Gates of Lufkin; one brother, Earl Scaff of Omaha; one sister, Ina Parker of Naples; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. William H. (Bill) Gilpin, 71, of  Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, August 13, 1996, at his home.  Funeral services were at 10 am, Friday, August 16, at Bates0Ciioer0Weens0Robison Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Frank Stringham officiating.  Burial was in the Naples Cemetery at Naples.  Mr. Gilpin was born Friday, February 20, 1925, in Omaha, to Mary Irene McIntosh Gilpin and Charles Earl Gilpin.  He was a member of the Dellwood Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, and was a veteran of the Navy.  He was an auto mechanic.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Kim Miller; a brother, Richard Gilpin; and a son-in-law, Harold Collins.  Survivors include his wife, Kay Martin Gilpin of Mt. Pleasant; four sons, William Shane Gilpin, Paul Brandon Gilpin and Emmanuel Joel Gilpin, all of Mt. Pleasant, and Quinten Miller of Nacogdoches; three daughters, Sharon Kay Watkins, Deborah Freeman and Skyla Holliday, all of Mt. Pleas Layne officiating.  Burial was in the Naples Cemetery.  Mrs. Gipson was born July 16, 1954, in Butte, Montana.  She was a member of the Rocky Point Methodist Church.  Survivors include three daughters, Tijuanna (Shelly) Harrison of Lamesa, CA, and Katrina Yvonne Burkhalter and Nichole (Nikki) Burkhalter of Daingerfield; one stepson, Dennis Gipson of Tulsa, OK; one stepdaughter, Denise Gipson of Daingerfield; her parents, Katie and Coy Stewart Sr., of Hughes Springs; a brother, Coy Alfred Stewart Jr., of Daingerfield; a sister, Gail Elaine Rowe of Daingerfield; one granddaughter, Jaime Armstrong of Lamesa, CA, and a number of nieces and nephews. Pleas Layne officiating.  Burial was in the Naples Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.  Mr. Gipson was born November 21, 1948, and was a longtime resident of Naples.  He was a former employee of T & N Warehouse at Lone Star, and was a member of the Rocky Point Methodist Church.  Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Alicia Gipson of Tulsa, OK; one daughter, Denise Gipson of Daingerfield; three step-daughters, Tijuanna (Shelly) Harrison of Lamesa, CA, and Katrina Yvonne Burkhalter and Nichole (Nikki) Burkhalter of Daingerfield; his mother, Mary Gipson of Naples; two brothers, Jackie W. GOODWIN, DORRIS WALLS                  February 9, 1911 -- October 27, 1996

Dorris Walls Goodwin, of Longview, died Sunday, October 27, 1996, at a Longview nursing home.  Funeral services were at 10 am, Wednesday, October 30, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Longview, with the Rev. Bill Cunningham officiating.  Interment  was at 1 pm, in the Naples Cemetery.  Mrs. Goodwin was born in Naples, and moved to Longview in 1958 from Clarksville.  She retired from Texas Furniture Company after eight years.  Mrs. Goodwin was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Longview, where she was a member of the Forum Sunday School class, and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star #610.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ed Walls and Gordon Goodwin.  Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Reba Walls of Weatherford, and Donald and Wanda Walls of Longview; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Mildred and Howard Evans of Longview, Peggy Atteberry of Longview and Thelma Beauchamp of Naples; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Mrs. Mary R. Hampton, 94, of Naples, were Monday, October 10, 2005, at Naples Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Edwards officiating.  Mrs. Hampton was born Sept. 27, 1911, in Naples.  She died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005, in Naples.  She was a retired nurse, a Methodist and longtime resident of Naples.  Survivors include five nieces, Betty Stewart of Grand Prairie, Thelma Boyd of Ore City, Nancy Heard and Gloria Norwood of Naples, and Karen Hall of Daingerfield; one nephew, Kenneth Hampton of Anona  (Sec A Row 16)

Services for Mrs. Murell Moreland Hampton, 85, of Naples were Monday, March 25, 2002 at First United Methodist Church in Naples with the Rev. Tim Edwards officiating.  Mrs. Hampton was born January 23, 1917 in Naples.  She died Saturday, March 23, 2002 in Texarkana.  She was a retired employee of SWEPCO, a member of First United Methodist Church, a charter member of Jonquil Garden Club and a lifetime resident of Naples.  Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Janice Hampton of Annona; two daughters, Nancy Morris and Gloria Norwood, both of Naples; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Ruby Moreland, Dan and Jackie Moreland of Hughes Springs and Coy and Sarah Moreland; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Jimmy Walker of Hughes Springs and a number of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh, and a grandson, Sid Norwood.  Interment was at Naples Cemetery.  (Sec A Row 7)

Ruby Lee Hampton, 78, of Naples, died Tuesday, July 15, 1997, at Titus Regional Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant.  Funeral services were at 1 pm, Wednesday, July 16, at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Naples with the Rev. Trey Roberson officiating, and burial was in the Naples Cemetery.  Mrs. Hampton was born December 24, 1918, in Florien, LA.  She was a member of the Eastern Star and a member of the First Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Hampton.  Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald and Barbara Hampton of Texarkana, and Bruce Hampton of Naples; one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Travis Megason of Texarkana; and four grandchildren, Kimberly Megason of Austin, Sean Megason of Boston, MA, Jennifer Maxer of San Antonio, and Sarah Mazer of Fayetteville, AR.  Serving as pallbearers were Buddy May, buddy Blue, Bill Ellis and Hollis Suttle.  (A Row 15)

Graveside services for Mrs. Shirley Hicks Harvey, 65, of Mt. Pleasant were Monday, January 22, 2001 at Naples Cemetery with Bobby Stewart officiating.  Mrs. Harvey was born March 31, 1935 in Naples.  She died Saturday, January 20, 2001 in Mt. Pleasant.  She was a Baptist and a former resident of Naples and Irving.  Survivors include two sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Stewart of Grand Prairie and Thelma and B. J. Boyd of Ore City; two aunts, Mary Hampton and Merle Hampton both of Naples and a number of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband Chester Earl Haryvey.  (Morris Co Cemetery listing has Chester W.) Services for Inez Hicks, 82, of Naples were conducted Monday, November 30, 1998 at the First Methodist Church in Naples.  Mrs. Hicks was born January 3, 1916.  She died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998 in Austin.  Mrs. Hicks was a member of the First Methodist Church of Naples and a lifetime resident of Naples.  She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Richard Gossett of Cedar Park; two grandchildren, Alisse Gossett and Evan Gossett of Cedar Park; and one sister, Leola McWaters of Douglasville.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin �Doc� Hicks.  (A Row 20)

JOHNSON, ROBERT GERALD December 8, 1941 � February 27, 2009

Services for Mr. Robert Gerald Johnson, 67, formerly of Naples, were March 2, 2009, at Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Milam officiating.  Mr. Johnson was born December 8, 1941, in Naples.  He died February 27, 2009, in Texarkana.  He was the owner of Jolly Refrigeration Company in Texarkana, a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner, a member of the Moose Lodge and the National Rifle Association.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie Johnson and Johnny Freeman; and two sisters, Mary Helen Johnson and Doris Jean Johnson.  Survivors include two sisters, Martha Ann Freeman and Linda Freeman Andrews of Ore City; three aunts, Mable Haley of Lone Star, Helen McNeely of Ft. Worth, and Johnnie Minor Norman of Mesquite; and several nieces and nephews.  Burial was in Naples  Cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home.  (Location Unknown)

LEEVES, MARION STEWART                           July 7, 1895 � March 20, 1999

Services for Mrs. Marion Stewart Leeves, 103, of Naples were Monday at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Naples with Dr. Dan Darby officiating.  Mrs. Leeves was born July 7, 1895 in Naples.  She died Saturday, March 20, 1999 in a Mt. Pleasant hospital.  Mrs. Leeves was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.  Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. James S. and Peggy Leeves of Naples and Dr. Jerry and Winona Leeves of Conroe; six grandchildren, Jody Leeves of Naples, Dr. Jan Ann Leeves of Houston, Paul Leeves and Cheryl Leeves of Conroe, Michele Zarella of Spring and Donna Leeves of Dallas; and six great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, E. J. Leeves, in 1953.  Burial was in the Naples Cemetery.  Pallbearers included Mike Zarella, Paul Leeves, Ken Reese, Jody Crossett and Jody Leeves.  Services were under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Naples.  (A Row 7)

Bob Sinclair officiating.  Burial was in the Naples Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Service.  Mr. Lewis was born August 26, 1910.  He was retired from Red River Army Depot, was a member of the Naples First United Methodist Church, and was a lifetime resident of Naples.  Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Lewis of Naples; one son, Gary Beatty of Longview; one daughter, Melba Mallory of Reno, NV; one brother, Marion Lewis of Daingerfield; one sister, Annie Clair Waters of Dallas; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  Serving as pallbearers were John Spearman, Jimmy Dan Spearman, Bobby Joe Spearman, Bud Lewis, Bubby Lewis and Harold Wright.

Johnny Bob Lewis, 55, of Shiner, TX, died Friday, Feb. 4, at Victoria, TX following a brief illness.  Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 5, at 2 pm at the Buffington Funeral Home Chapel in Shiner, with the Rev. George Lumpkin and the Rev. Jerry Capeoni officiating; and on Sunday, Feb. 6, at 2 pm at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Naples, with the Rev. Bill Harty and the Rev. Bob Sinclair officiating.  Burial was in the Naples Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Service of Naples.  Mr. Lewis, born in Naples, was a 1956 honor graduate of Pewitt High School where he was valedictorian, and a 1960 graduate of the University of North Texas at Denton.  He had taught school at Palestine, AR, Yorktown, TX and at Canyon Junior High in New Braunfels.  He was serving as principal of Shiner Elementary School.  He was a member of the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Assoc., and the Texas State Teachers Association.  He is survived by his wife, Mary Lewis of Shiner; his mother, Mrs. Olivia Thomas Lewis of Naples, two daughters, Lana Lewis Taylor and Connie Lewis, both of Austin; one sister, Shirley Woodard of DeKalb; and three brothers, Ray Lewis of  Naples, Bill Lewis of Dallas and Ronald Lewis of Houston.  He was preceded in death by his father Claud C. Lewis.  Serving as pallbearers were Charles Lucke, John Najvar, Lance Taylor, Alex R. Fammill, Noel Tuck and Harry James Vissering.  Honorary pallbearers were Billy Patek Sr., Ed Pepper, Don Stark, Henry Fietsam, Harry George Vissering and Shiner Elementary School staff and students.

SLIDER, ORENE FLEMING          November 27, 1922 � September 26, 2005

Services for Mrs. Orene Slider, 82, of Naples, were to be conducted Thursday, September 29, 2005 at 11 am, at First United Methodist Church in Naples with the Rev. Dr. Tim Edwards officiating.  Mrs. Slider was born November 27, 1922, in Naples, to Emmett and Carrie Fleming.  She died Monday, September 26, 2005 at her home following a lengthy illness.  She grew up in the Naples area and attended Naples High School, graduating in 1940.  After high school she attended East Texas State Teachers College in Commerce, TX, and then the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR.  Mrs. Slider started teaching in 1943 at James Bowie High School in Simms, TX, and taught there for five years.  In 1948 she married James Lenoy Slider and they were blessed with a daughter, Sheri Jan Slider Estes.  After teaching at James Bowie High School, she taught at Linden High School in Linden, TX, and upon leaving there, began her teaching career at Paul Pewitt High School where she had an illustrious career.  Mrs. Slider retired in 1981 after 37 years as a teacher.  During her years as a teacher, she taught high school English, business English and Spanish.  Following her retirement, she kept busy doing volunteer work at local nursing homes.  She was involved with church activities at the First United Methodist Church in Naples and served as president of the Sunshine Class, chairman of Evangelism, and other things for the church as needed.  She was a charter member of the Jonquil Garden Club and a member of the Pewitt CISD Education Foundation.  She was a charter member of the Naples Eastern Star, Morris County Retired Teachers Association, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and the Martha Laird Chapter D.A.R.  In June, Mrs. Slider was honored by the Pewitt Foundation Association as its �teacher of the year� at the group�s annual gala event.  A few years earlier she was honored as Naples� �citizen of the year� by the Naples Chamber of Commerce.  Survivors include one daughter, Sheri Slider Estes of Austin; one brother, Kennard Fleming of Dallas; and one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Amy Estes Alexander and Davin Alexander of Rosebud.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lenoy Slider, on August 4, 1990, and also by her parents.  Interment was to be at the Naples Cemetery under the direction of Alexander Funeral Service of Naples.  Pallbearers were to include Bruce Vinson, Jim Vinson, Rich Vinson, J. Worth and Harold Franklin of San Antonio; and a number of great, great-great, great-great-great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert H. Q. B. WOMMACK, 70, of Naples, died Thursday, June 1, at his home following a lengthy illness.  Funeral services were Saturday, June 3, 1995, at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Naples, with the Rev. James Day and the Rev. Bill Harty officiating.  Burial was in the Naples Cemetery (A Row 7).  Mr. Wommack was born April 17, 1925, in Marietta.  He owned and operated Wommack Oil Company at Naples, with his son, Steve.  He was a graduate of Naples High School and Texas A&M University.  He served in the Army Air Force during World War II as an aviator, was a member of the Marietta Masonic Lodge, and was a member of the Oakridge Baptist Church at Marietta.  Mr. Wommack was a member of the Naples City Council for the past 25 years and had served as mayor pro-tem during a number of those years.  He was a lifetime resident of the Naples and Marietta area.  Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Nance Wommack of Naples; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Beth Wommack of Naples; one grand-daughter Kaitlyn Wommack of Naples, two sisters, Mary Rogers and Punch Leeves, both of Naples; a brother, James Wommack of Douglassville; and a number of nieces and nephews.  Serving as pallbearers were his nephews, Buddy Rogers, David Franklin Leeves, Jim Wommack, Bob Wommack, Sim Burgess and Will Burgess.  Honorary pallbearers were Jim Berry, Doug Loffer, Willie James Palmore, John Miles and John Taylor, present and former City of Naples officials. Services for William Victor Wommack, 86, of Lafayette, LA were conducted Thursday, January 21, 1999 at the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers.  Mr. Wommack was a native of Naples, the son of the late William Madison Wommack of Naples and the former Era Inez Henderson of Daingerfield.  He had been a resident of Lafayette since November of 1956.  He died Wednesday, Jan 20, 1999 in Lafayette.  Mr. Wommack retired in 1977 from Atlantic Richfield Co.  He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, International Oil Scout Association, Arc Retireee Club and a former member of Acadian Hills Golf Club.  Survivors include his wife, the former Valeria Blankenship of Lafayette; one daughter and her husband, Vickie W. and David Perry of Biloxi, MS; two sisters, Era Jane W. Ellis of Omaha and Dorothy Alice W. Padermos of Kennedale; one brother, James Frank Wommack of Longview and one grandson, Victor Scott Perry of Biloxi, MS.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Laverne Beasley and Annie Mae Landrum; and one brother, Ray Wommack.  Interment was Friday, Jan. 20, 1999 in the Naples Cemetery.  Honorary pallbearers wee Weber Borrell, Louis Noel, Francis Broussard, Lynn Broussard, Ronald Sarver and Buck Ballard.  Delhomme Funeral Home in Lafayette was in charge of services.  (A Row 9)
