Gordon Bennett,
69, of Houston, died Wednesday, March 6, 1996, in Houston. Funeral services
were at 2 pm, Friday, March 8, at First Baptist Church in Gilmer, with Dr. David
Jenkins officiating. Burial was in the Loving-Spring Hill Cemetery near Omaha.
Mr. Bennett was a longtime resident of Houston and Gilmer. He was a deacon of
Tallowood Baptist Church in Houston, and a former deacon of First Baptist Church
in Gilmer. He was a Mason, a longtime employee of Lone Star Steel Company and
was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Bolin Bennett in 1993. Mr. Bennett
was born in Detroit, Michigan, June 19, 1926. Survivors include two daughters
and sons-in-law, Cindi and Dave Owens of Garland, and Nancy and Dennis Browning
of Ft. Worth; five grandchildren; a brother, Alex Bennett and sister Ann Parish
of Vermont; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Hazel and Pete Bolin of

BOLIN, HAZEL
ROBINSON December 24, 1905 � January 22, 2001
Services for
Mrs. Hazel Robinson Bolin, 95, of Omaha were Thursday, January 25, 2001 at
Alexander Chapel with the Reverend Neal Thornburgh officiating. Mrs. Bolin was
born December 24, 1905 in Omaha. She died Monday, January 22, 2001 at Sun
Bridge Healthcare and Rehabilitation for Omaha. She was a member of the First
Baptist Church and a longtime resident of Omaha. She was a former resident of
Houston. Survivors include her husband, Pete M. Bolin of Omaha; one son David
Bolin of Houston; one sister, Maxine Davis of Huntsville; three granddaughters;
seven great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was
preceded in death by her daughter, Gloria Bolin Bennett. Pallbearers were Jim
Burnett, Dennis Browning, Dave Owens, Don Dorsett, Kyle Owens and Dustin

MCLEAN January 3, 1906 � October 8, 2007
Services for Mr.
Pete Bolin, 101, of Omaha, were October 20, 2007, at the Harrison Funeral Home
Chapel with the Rev. Keith Lauter officiating. Mr. Bolin was born January 3,
1906, in the Rocky Branch Community. He died October 18, 2007, in Mt.
Pleasant. He was retired from the Hughes Tool Company of Houston and a member
of the First Baptist Church of Omaha. He was preceded in death by his wife,
Hazel Robinson Bolin, on January 22, 2007, and two children, David Bolin and
Gloria Bolin Bennett. Survivors include a sister, Francis Burnett of Pearland,
Texas; and three granddaughters and husbands, Nancy and Russell Broadus of
Houston, Nancy and Dennis Browning of Ft. Worth, and Cindi and Dave Owens of
Dallas; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Burial was

Mrs. Mary Bolin Davis, 95, of Omaha, were Saturday, December 24, at Alexander
Funeral Home Chapel in Naples, with the Rev. Keith Lauder officiating. Mrs.
Davis was born February 17, 1910, in Omaha. She died December 23, 2005, in
Omaha. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church and a former
resident of Houston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Davis, her
parents, one sister, two brothers, three nephews and one niece. Survivors
include one daughter and son-in-law, Frankie Chaloupka/Dorsett and Don Dorsett
of Georgetown, TX; one sister, Frances Burnett of Omaha; one brother, Peter M.
Bolin of Omaha; grandsons, Paul R. Wiley of Houston and W. A. �Bud� and Leighann
Chaloupka of Austin; great-grandchildren, Lindsay and Jodie Chaloupka of Austin;
a nephew and wife, Jim and Vickie Burnett of Pearland, TX; nieces and husband,
Linda and John Marsh of Georgetown, and Anne Underwood of Dallas. Interment was
in Loving Cemetery at Omaha, under the direction of Alexander Funeral Service of

L. J. Forsyth, 89, of Naples, were Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at Alexander Funeral
Home Chapel with minister, John Hooten officiating. Mr. Forsyth was born May
14, 1914, in Rocky Branch. He died Saturday, July 5, 2003, in Omaha. He was a
farmer and rancher, a veteran of World War II, member of the Rocky Branch Church
of Christ and a lifetime resident of Rocky Branch. Survivors include a number
of cousins including Peggy Leeves, Beryl Heard and Mary Janet Wakefield, all of
Naples, Leo Forsyth of Daingerfield, Iwana McCoy of Marietta, Helen Baker of
Douglassville, Dorthea Thomas of Texarkana, LaVerne Hooten of Azel, Evelyn Hicks
of Dallas and Kathryn Sims of Corpus Christi. Interment was at Loving
