ON THE BANKS OF THE PALO DURO DRAW

We have settled here from all the country
And we're not at all without a flaw.
But we're children of the law
From the sea to Arkansas
On the banks of the Palo Duro Draw.

Chorus:
On the banks of the Palo Duro Draw,
My boys
Where oh where the cowboys liked to roam.
There we dropped a silent tear
As we branded every steer.
On the banks of the Palo Duro Draw.

2nd verse
There we wrangled many a fiery bronco
Every outlaw on the rolling plains
There we rode upon their backs
Jumping higher that our shacks
On the banks of the Palo Duro Draw.

Chorus:
Well you all remember our old schoolhouse
It is just a little old drug store
But it was two by two by four
We graduated by the score
On the banks of the Palo Duro Draw.
