| Jewish Cemetery Rockdale, Milam County, Texas Photos & transcription by Clarissa Loyd The Jewish Cemetery is located near downtown Rockdale. In Rockdale, take Mill Ave/FM 908, crossing the railroad track and to the Old City Cemetery. Go to the next road, E. White Ave, and the entrance to the Jewish Cemetery will be on the left side of the road. One can also reach the cemetery by walking through the Old City Cemetery all the way back and stepping down and going through a gate. Some stones are really hard to read since they are weathered, but for the most part the cemetery is well kept. It looks like a large headstone is missing, but not sure, and a stone that is flipped over, as well as a footstone by itself. These photos were taken in May of 2011. |
