History of Mid-Cities Bluebonnet #2429
Our chapter began in 1979 when organizing President Mildred Harrison turned in 14 applications to form a new chapter. The name Mid-Cities was selected because most of the ladies were from the Mid-Cities area, and because they all loved the state flower, Bluebonnet was added to our name.
On January 7, 1980, our Mid-Cities Bluebonnet Chapter #2429 was chartered in Euless, Texas. One of the early objectives of the chapter was to seek out and register any living daughters of Confederate veterans. At one time, the chapter had eight Real Daughters on our membership roll!
Today, we are still going strong and consist of a group of hardworking ladies that are truly a band of sisters and are happy to celebrate our Confederate heritage.
