Funeral Services Are Held Sunday For Harry Dinkins

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Taylor Brothers Funeral Home in Bay City for Harry W. Dinkins, 61, who died in Santa Fe, N. M., on June 22.

Burial was in the Cedarvale Cemetery with the Rev. A. C. Maxted conducting the services.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Guy Wallace of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs. P. G. Huston of Bay City, and one brother, Louis H. Dinkins of Mississippi.

Eimel F. Ertel, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. F. Ertel, died at the home of his parents yesterday at 5:30 a. m. and was buried in Cedarvale cemetery this afternoon at 2 o’clock. At the time of his death the young man was about nineteen years of age. He has been afflicted for a number of years and his death was expected.

The Tribune extends its sympathy to the bereaved parents.

Mrs. L. E. J. Gresham – Cassie A. Grisham

Mrs. L. E. J. Gresham, wife of L. E. J. Gresham, a farmer on the H. W. Ninde place, died at the hospital yesterday and was buried in Cedarvale Cemetery here this afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Gresham and family moved to the Ninde place about a year ago from Colorado County and engaged in farming. For sometime Mrs. Gresham’s condition has been growing worse and an operation was decided upon, but it was too late to accomplish any good results.

The Tribune extends its sympathy to the bereaved family.

Jim Gullett

Jim Gullett, for many years a prominent citizen of Markham, died suddenly Wednesday afternoon. He had been ill for sometime with pneumonia but was thought to be out of danger when suddenly attacked with heart trouble.

The deceased leaves a wife, three daughters and one son.

Mr. Gullett had been a resident of Markham for the past 15 years and was very prominent in the business affairs of that town and section. At the time of his death he was bookkeeper for J. C. Carlson and Co.

Walter Ross Hawkins

Walter Ross Hawkins, 78, a resident of Bay City passed away December 1 at the Matagorda General Hospital. Survivors include: daughter, Elvera Lea Mozley of Bay City; sister, Jesse Lee Traub of California; 1 granddaughter, Cynthia Martine of Bay City; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held December 4 at 2 p. m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Dr. Joe Cannon and Dr. James Cowart officiating. Interment for the World War I veteran will be at Cedarvale Cemetery with pallbearers being: James Hudson, Roy Polk, Edward E. Hudson Sr., Edward E. Hudson Jr., Elder Hans Jorgensen and Elder Merlin Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Insall and Ray Roecker. Arrangements with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home.
